China remains the biggest part of that.
Xi and the Chinese Communist party remain the leading threat in the world.
Two powerful explosions thundered in Luhansk
Telegram channels publish relevant photos and videos showing pillars of black smoke rising above the city.
Local media reported that the strike hit the Poly-Pack plant, the second explosion was heard near the oil depot. The plant was used as a supply point of the Russian Armed Forces.
Didnt the polypack plant get hit last weekend ?
It was one of 2 explosions in luhansk that were being credited to storm shadow ..
I wonder is the US decoy missile thats been heard of lately an even bigger deal than storm shadow ..
The article doesn't quite say this. It just speculates that it may be possible (nothing's impossible obviously). The allegation is made, based on one particular report from a Ukrainian officer. In any case the effectiveness and applications of electronic warfare by both sides will remain highly, highly classified, neither side is not going to reveal the full true picture of their own and the enemy's capabilities in this field.
Right. I missed that...
Does ukraine have very many spare experienced fast jet pilots to send off for training ? Fast jet Pilots are a scarce resource at the best of times , we dont know how many have been lost , but im sure their work load has grown exponentially..
we've heard of pilots being evaluated in the states , and rumors of training in france - plus the uk offering to train ukrainian pilots , while not having f16s ..
Putin: "Muskets eh? Hmmm..."
Could we be seeing training of young/ not fully trained ukr pilots,
Or possibly mixed squadrons ? So a mix of older typhoons , mirage , f16s and f18 , all playing to their own strenghts rather than a one plane does everything?
It may have been hit again 🤔
Русский мир, Russky Mir.
This is what the UK have said training new pilots to operate aircraft in the future not the the new few weeks or months as predicted on here,
The biggest issue there is multiple different aircraft with different training qualifications, and that before you get to the logistics and building facilities and maintenance systems for each different aircraft types, but as above none of the countries who operate mirage,f16,F18s have committed to sending any of the above the countries involved have all come out and say no we're not sending our jets ,
You talking about high complex machines that require a lot of training to operate effectively and maintaining these machines is highly complex you cant drop them in and say there you lads to go shoot down some Russians
Interesting 🤔
Let's face it, the west would look pretty foolish getting US approval, then training Ukrainian pilots and not giving them F16's.
Oddly enough Reuters haven't posted anything about it
Meanwhile in real news.... Irish Defense forces currently in Cyprus training Ukrainans soldiers.in EOD.
The Norwegians mothballed a few last year too I think, those are likely to be in the first batch sent
With our history it's easy to see why this is a good mission fit
The Czech president has said they were looking into sending their L159 light attack aircraft , while not as sexy as the previous claimed Aircraft going to ukraine A10 definitely going according to posters on here,F18s definitely going according to posters on here , and now F16s might go but not in a few weeks or months, possibly 3 years away.
Sold to draken international and the Romanian airforce ,
Just a toe hold in Bakhmut now
Good to see we’ve got something to contibute. Ireland has no Leopards or Jet Fighters to give them, but the knowledge to demine all of the occupied areas will be essential to no only the current war, but the future of a peacetime Ukraine.
We even refused to send about 1200 Anti tank weapons,
But this is hugely important and critical to the Ukrainan military
Barely a 2 km square exists in Ukrainans hands
Prigozhin has released a video stating Wagner’s forces have established full control over Bakhmut.
Ukr. denied this.
They must know something @Gatling doesn't.
From what I see, Norway signed a deal last November with Romania to sell 32 used F-16's to Romania.
It sold 32 F-16's to Draken International who currently have 24 F-16s on its books.
The Netherlands seem the most likely to give them F-16s, they have 24 of them, which will be replaced by the F-35 from next year.
Belgium is replacing their fleet of F-16s with F-35, with the first coming this year. From Wikipedia they have 53 F-16 in total which includes 8 trainer aircraft. 34 F-35s are on order.
So between the Dutch and Belgiums they have 77 F-16s between them, which are surplus to requirements. Add in 24 from Draken which mighe be leased or sold, you get to 100 F-16s
Of course, there are loads of F-16s around elsewhere, the US alone have 800 of them, most of them in storage not really used all that much.
It could well be the Dutch and Belgium breaking the dam in giving them F-16s with some other countries following suit as a form of a coalition like we saw with the tanks.
Will see over the next few months more details and horse trading about who gets what. Remember, the US could always give other countries some more F-35's as a way to release F-16's.
How many do ye think they need to turn the tide in the airwar?
Certainly Ukrainian sources speaking to the Financial Times would indicate that they have almost completed the Capture.
The Dutch have already said no
So your whole opinion is based of a wiki Page
Not quite yet, its still a work in progress, but it's moving on.
I know that the US does not recognise the ICC, but the Russians are in a totally different league.
