Have they stopped now?
I think they have! Very annoying.
I have quartet screen ads for Curry's which you have to X out to close.
They obscure the bottom of the screen.
I was out doing a bit of weeding today.
There are two beds here and one is over run with creeping buttercups.
The roots on those bad boys are very strong, you need strength and muscle to yank them up.
Some people day leave them but the problem is they smother all the flowers/plants.
Has anyone any tips on how to deal with it?
A few will need a spade to get the roots out.
This plant is everywhere and covers everything else if you let it. PITA.
Winter Heliotrope
Look at that face 😍😍😍😍😍
Alfie! Auto, how is he doing?
Alfie's eyes are beautiful. Feel so sorry for the poor guy.
@thomil the start of 2023, this was a new place for me.
Looks like Gaborone airport to me. That one always stood out to me as one of the better-developed airports in Sub-Saharan Africa, being a newly designed field with things like full-length parallel taxiways and so on.
Ahhhh, he looks so wise...
Thank you.
It's this fella who is plaguing me...
Tour of the country courtesy of irish rail who have the most inflexible flexible ticket system known to man or beast.
@thomil excellent guess as usual :)
Given the size of Ireland, you’d think having a good integrated, reliable and efficient rail system in terms of ticketing and operating might not be too difficult but… Ireland ehhh.
I put it in TA yesterday but I'm so disappointed about the flexibility bit.
Someone is at the sherry 😂
Raided the cooking sherry 😁
Who? Me?
I aim to please 😁
Who will visit me in the Dochas when I murder someone, fuelled by the constant Curry's ad at the bottom of my phone screen?! 🙏
@thomil I really don't know how you do that, you are right every time :)
Honestly, a lot of times, I just get lucky and there are enough clues to get me to the right area. But Gaborone is genuinely one of those I definitely remember. It got a lot of coverage in German aviation magazines a few years back, and that stuck in my head.
Anyway, deskside here. Most of my regions are off today, so I'm hoping for a quiet day...
Lucky you, I get lingerie ads in Hebrew when coming here on my work machine...
Ha! I'm getting ads for stair lifts !
I'm here skitting 🤣🤣
@thomil here is the last one for this week. 6 countries in a week isn't bad but you have previously guessed the other 4 places last year.
That looks a whole lot like Windhoek's main international airport but I can't for the life of me think of the name of that place...
The news from Ireland is pretty disturbing these days. The amount of anger and hate and violence towards others. And people recording it and posting it on social media. I am really shocked at how brutal people can go. On top of all the other shite in this country. And the amount of sheer animal cruelty and brutality. It's like we've gone mad as a nation. The richer and more knowledgeable we become, the more this becomes unacceptable to me.
Ok. Exhale.
I hate those ****** pop up ads when I'm trying to type.
100% correct again.
Have a friend living here who decided 3 years ago to quit his job as an airline chef at the age of 32 and train to be a pilot. He is now building hours flying tourists to safari lodges and loving it, although the salary is $400 a month. I’m so delighted to see someone following a dream and succeeding.
Yikes that pay is scary, is it enough to keep them going?
On my way to work here.. I need tea and sleep.
Don't want to be a moaner but those fcuking ads are pushing me over the edge, ffs.
Try Brave browser, with uBlock origin and Privacy Badger extensions. I have zero ads on the vast majority of websites I visit, no ads before, during, or after YouTube videos, and none even on streaming websites (such as Channel 4).
