It's been working fine for me with no issues.
Who is you broadband provider btw?
That's more of a security thing on Amazons part. It's no fault or problem with getflix.
I'm afraid there seems to be no workaround in terms of purchasing US content when you are resident in ROI, even if you are running getflix.
Amazon can be sticklers at times also, so there's a good chance they could ban your account if they think you are up to something shady.
You will just have to make do with whatever comes free with Amazon prime US, if it's working with getflix that is.
Hey Baz,
That is a pity. Hopefully they come back to us - it seems to be a problem with Amazon only so maybe there are blocking getflix. I say that as BBC and ITV are working fine via getflix on the firestick.
Morning
I'm with Arden broadband. Who is your ISP?
Virgin, using my own router.
The reason I was asking is perhaps your ISP has made some changes.
Not too sure. I tried it on neighbour's (digiweb) and getting the same error there when I use the Getflix DNS.
I use these settings on the Getflix app.
Morning Bromley
Thanks for that - Groups look almost identical to mine :-)
I'm just gonna leave well enough alone on mine - all other US/UK and Irl apps are working OK
I sideloaded the Prime Vidoe app (Andriod TV version) to one of my Firesticks last night and it's working 100% so that's a bit of a workaround.
Thanks baz9375, so does that mean you now have two Prime Video apps on your firestick? the one you side loaded and the "built-in" one?
Would you mind posting which version of the side-loaded app is working for you, please
Yes.
There's two version on the firetick now but I can hide the native/built-in version so only the sideloaded version is showing. The icon for it looks a little off but it's working perfectly.
I'll check the version this evening and come back to you.
Do you not use any setting for Prime?
Is your prime an Irish account?
Turkish account and I change it depending on what I am watching.
Prime was back working on the firestick and Samsung tv today before I came into work for the late shift. Hopefully still working when get home!
It is working for me now too 👍👍👍
Me too 😁😁😁👍👍
I am back having issues with Prime and Getflix again, Samsung TV, if I disable Getflix, then Prime opens fine
Do you still use Getflix and Prime, would you be able to check are they working ok for you now, mine havent been working for a few weeks and getflix dont seem to be much help this time around unfortunately
Working well for me. Checked Canada and Australia.
Same here on UK and Canada. Only service that seems to consistently have a problem is Amazon Prime video. Other than that, everything runs as expected.
When you say its working well, can you elaborate, I have a UK prime account, using Getflix I was able to watch Premier League last season, everytime i log into Prime now I get "looks like you are travelling" despite having Prime set to UK on Getflix. When I do have Prime set to UK in Getflix, the prime app on my 4K firestick and Samsung TV wont actually open, in get that connection issue, but ig I disable Prime in Getflix then, the app opens on both devices but again gives me the travelling issue.
Ah shame that it's not working.
Just in and checked it on the firestick and all working fine.
If I recall I have same set up as you.
(Samsung tv being used for xbox at mo but will check later)
It has been working fine since that post of mine you quoted.
I had emailed getflix two or three days before that about not having access and they got back to me last Wednesday! I had assumed they sorted it at the time but someone noticed my query had never been closed.
Are you on vodafone broadband?
Thanks, no, not on Vodafone BB, was with Virgin Media, but moved to Pure FTTH a couple of months ago, was working when I moved, but any device that I connect to Prime now gives me the travelling message. IPlayer and other UK apps all work fine using getflix, so that confirms my set up is correct.
Did anyone read any updates on them sorting Disney not always being on the US server. It's very frustrating when you want to watch a show on Disney
Does your router have a guest mode? If so you could set that to your ISPs DNS and switch to it when you want to watch Disney.
Not sure actually. But good idea. Might try that.
I have a VPN on my Chromecast but for some reason when I change it to Ireland, Disney doesn't recognise it.
Has anybody managed to get Freevee or ITVX working on Firestick with getflix?
The native freevee app doesn't work. You need to sideload the android TV app.
ITVX works perfectly and it does a good job on reducing the ads.
Not sure why the native app doesn't work for you, it works perfectly for me with getflix.
Do you have links to the apps you are using for the above please?
The native freevee app is working for me now. I had to set the getflix app to the uk.
It may not be working for you if your Amazon account is Irish. Freevee is not available in Ireland.
Regarding ITVX, I use the FireStick app. My account is set to UK so I can just download it.
ITVX and Freevee links. Might work on Fire Stick
