Those of you who got new Teslas recently, how are you finding TeslaVision so far? I rented a MYLR with USS and they were not as good compared to other cars I have driven.
Was I doing something wrong when using autopiloy/autosteer? Autosteer disengaged when I changed lanes and wouldn't re-engage until I activate it again, unlike every other car I've been in.
USS should be spot on, to the cm.
My car changes lanes with a nudge but it might be an EAP feature rather than a basic AP feature.
Changing lanes is an EAP feature yeah. Standard autopilot will disengage when you change lanes

The model 3 I was using the other day while distance was probably fairly reliable the coloured icons around the car were less accurate. And no information for the side of the car (I know uss doesn’t cover the side but I’m used to seeing it with vision on my Y). I think while uss are the better option they are not perfect.

If in reverse, the side cameras pop up on screen which may help.
It appears that a delivery slot will still be allocated without payment, however I’ve a day off next week and will try get the bank Stuff done in one go- with the seai form to fill in and the payment request it shouldn’t be too far off. Luckily don’t have to offload a car in between, but the bangeromics/go car solution could be an option for a few weeks for some.
Just as an update for anyone EDD 12-27 June, Matthew on chat has advised ETA is still on track for arrival to Baldonnel on 12th June, then prepped for collection from 13th June. SEAI form was sent out a little sooner than typical but that's to get processed timely. Payment requests are due closer to the delivery window as per usual.
Matthew has been giving official statement all along. A few weeks back, he said exactly the same for my order with EDD of 19/May to 03/Jun - car will arrive in Dublin before 19th June and ready for collection afterwards. I was chatting with him this morning, his statement changed to "the car is still in transit" (not knowing where exactly) and "EDD is only an estimation and delivery team will be in touch with you when it gets closer to the collection date."
Nothing wrong with it, but I believe most, if not all, Tesla customer services agents have no clue about the actual update.

Made a bit of a dogs dinner with the second deposit before collection - I added my name rather than my RN; I emailed them immediately and they said they’ll try trace and apply it to the account but it may affect my collection on Friday… here’s hoping they can sort it.

Nope, I was thinking once they cancel. I can pick it from inventory.
There’s no set time from cancellation to when it will or will not appear in inventory. It may go straight to another order holder.
Nothing official from Tesla dictates how the cancellation cars are spread out unfortunately.
Best bet would be to order your spec. Then keep an eye on inventory and order the same spec if it appears and cancel the original. But cross check dates as some new orders now are on the same boat as inventory cars.
I ordered an M3 on 19th April from a shipment that had already left shanghai on 18th April. On 2nd May, sandyford rep told me that the ship has already docked in Belgium (or is in the process of docking). That means the cars have been there since 2nd May for EDD 12-27 June

Or else it mans that information you have been given is inaccurate. If ship left Shanghai on 18th April it is impossible for it to have arrived in Zeebrugge on 2nd May. One of these variables is wrong. Journey time from Shanghai to Zeebrgugge is approx 4 weeks. Then cars need to be transported to Ireland.
