Incorrect.
Less radioactive, true. Removed the radioactive parts, not so much.
tons of research into the toxicity and radioactivity of DU, especially the risks of leakage into soil and water table. It is far from safe, just safer than using uranium without depleting it.
Not though impossible to shoot down a ballistic missile ,I believe I was the only who said it was nothing more than a ballistic missile it was others posters who claimed it was an unstoppable hypersonic missile, despite even experts saying it wasn't an unstoppable hypersonic missile
It was others who proclaimed the wunderwaffin was unstoppable,
I see an interview with a Ukrainian fighter pilot a month ago and he said in his spare time he tries to learn as much about F16's as possible and even practicing on simulators. So they're probably further ahead then you think especially when it comes to the theory side of it.
It was the UK who said they would be donating them ,but never said anything else hardly a stick ,
Russian propaganda that up there with your repeated claims of the leaks nobody else is talking about only you
It will be interesting to see whether it coincides with Draken replacing L-159's with F-16's which is due to happen later in the year, as part of the RAF "Red Air" contract.
Plenty of opportunity for them to sit in on F-16 simulators and in the back of Draken's newly acquired RNLAF F-16 trainers from the US, under the "RAF training" umbrella.
Holy crap. I went to college with one of those Zs. And going by some of his conduct, I'm not too surprised.
I Thought they were replacement for the hawks last year
L-159's have been used from Teeside to replace the Hawks... L-159's are a stop gap until the F-16's
The UK have really stepped thing's up lately. Laying the groundwork for Ukrainians to potentially get F16's in 6 to 12 months. But these long range missile's and drones is just what the doctor ordered. Going to do serious damage to Russian logistic hubs and force them to be set-up even further back.
Finally Ukraine can strike pretty much anywhere on their own territory. It was an insult they didn't have the capability before. And most importantly it further lifts the stigma on what Ukraine can receive. In terms of conventional weapons within the next 12 months they should receive pretty much everything they need.
Praying for gains this summer but I've a feeling the Ukrainian army 12 months from now will be far superior to the current one.
They are snapping up a lot of F16s which is interesting, will we be seeing a Europe red flag style exercise put on as well as the Usual Nato exercises?
Seems as though the city of Bakhmut itself is just about fully under RuSSian control today - albeit this will be a 'victory' that is as pyrrhic as it gets as the Ukrainian AF eat away at the surrounding flanks.
The only real question today is where will the main thrust(s) of the counteroffensive be. The UAF seems to be doing their usual excellent job of sowing panic and fear all along the frontline.
Hang on a second, you were the only one calling the Kinzhal a wunderwaffin.
It's still by the definition a hypersonic missile regardless of it starting off as a ballistic missile.
The general census on here at the time was as Ukraine lacked the ability to shoot down ballistic missiles, so it would have been impossible for them to shoot down a Kinzhal missile. Since then Ukraine have received Patriot AA systems and regardless of them using a PAC-2 or PAC-3 variant, the can now shoot down ballistic missiles.
You were the one posting pictures of an unfired (abandoned) Iskander missile months ago as evidence Ukraine could shoot down ballistic missiles.
doubt it, there's enough exercises in Europe... probably more international collaboration though, like the recent one with the Indian AF and RAF as capability increases.
@Wolf359f Hang on a second, you were the only one calling the Kinzhal a wunderwaffin.
Wunderwaffin lol ...
People just don't read a posts these days.
I wasn't planning on cooking today
First of 5 new HiMars systems arrived in Poland today with another 15 to be delivered later on in the year , with a possible 500 in total to be bought,
By all accounts both sides are claiming advances today,
Poland seem set on fighting a large ground war, all on their own, which seems odd.
As a NATO member, if Poland were to experience a land invasion, the aggressor would be destroyed from the air by the most powerful, most advanced, combined air armada the world has ever seen.
I honestly don't see the sense of so many HiMars unless a) they plan to transfer them to Ukraine immediately or b) they plan to do some invading themselves.
Apart from those trolls, the general consensus on here was Ukraine could not shoot down ballistic missiles, so there was zero chance they could shoot down a hypersonic missile.
Amazing how you can say it's not an unstoppable missile and yet still claim the Kinzhal interception is propaganda.
A previous statement posted a good while back on here from a polish government source if I remember correctly saying that they expected to have a direct conflict with Russia within the next 6-8 year's or something,
They are buying a huge amount of heavy and long range weapons, tanks ,IFVs drones, makes no sense at the moment, there won't be a threat from Russia for a long time time and that's a lot of equipment to maintain and operate in peacetime,
Some other countries are increasing their defense spending but not the scale of Poland , and when it suits Poland they don't exactly play nice with democracy for all all ,
I said "thought impossible".
Now that it has been done, possible.
I have no idea what wunderwaffin is.
Up to the weekend, the most commonly quoted stat was the Russians controlled 90% of the urban area. Sources like this would indicate that this is getting closer to 100%.

Although it doesn't really matter strategically if the UAF are enveloping them in a pincer movement. 😉
You don't know what a wunderwaffen is,
That's alright
Something to do with food I think...
waffin
(woff-inn); adjective: an adjective placed in front of a verb stated as a noun. What even follows "waffin" is that verb done with a waffle.
waffin slap: slapping someone with a waffle (waffin)
So if I start waffling about wunderwaffe, I'll get waffined?
(https://archive.is/cjnJM) because he's mobbed up
This day just keeps on giving 😁
Lushashenko doesn't have covid
I think it's a bit like a "missle".

It seems the Chinese want a settlement between Russia and Ukraine wonder if there plan will involve Russian withdrawals from all of Ukraine,
