Sums up how Putin puppets act .
No, I’m afraid that claim that depleted uranium is less radioactive than “background radiation” is complete crap.
there should be no illusions that the use of depleted uranium munitions is not an abject environmental disaster. Can I ask where you picked up this false notion?
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3492088/
Not hugely unexpected, while people keep saying that they should be immediately brought into Nato there is currently no guarantee that all members agree to include ukraine,it just takes one to say no ,
We all know they can't join until their country is free from the invaders, nothing new. They'll join once liberated, and Crimea bridge is but dust.
Poland is bursting for revenge on Russia and kaliningrad won't be russian for very long
The NIH study at the bottom concludes a lack of evidence.
"As no enough data on pre 1991 Gulf War prevalence of birth defects in Iraq are available, the ranges of birth defects reported in the reviewed studies from Iraq most probably do not provide a clear indication of a possible environmental exposure including DU or other teratogenic agents although the country has faced several environmental challenges since 1980."
DU only proves a radiation hazard if ingested or inhaled, which leads to bigger problems as it's a heavy metal. Insofar as the materials enter the water table, for example, it is a toxicity hazard. However, the alternate 'non-radioactive' metal used in munitions is tungsten, which is an even heavier metal, so heavy metal poisoning problems don't really get much better anyway.
Did anybody think Bakhmut would make it until mid May? I certainly didn't.
The positive thing is Russia haven't made their usual gains the last 2 week's and Ukraine even took back some of the flanks.
Who knows what will happen but he's to June.
A genius piece of propaganda whether true or not. Primes more tension between Russia and Wagner.
I have a question.
If you go to the site, the radiation increases from circa 130 the previous days to circa 140 on 11th May and 12th May... Reduces on 13th May (day of explosion) then spikes at 147 24 hours later on 14th and reduces back down to circa 140.
Why would this be indicative of an explosion containing depleted uranium, when there is no correlation?
Here's the thing I don't think anyone did especially since the Russians kept moving forward and when they got to controlling 90% of bakhmut you had to wonder how much longer it would hold, yes it was a meat grinder for Russia but it's also a meat grinder for Ukrainians too, and despite the recent gains over the weekend, the so called collapse of the Russian lines hasn't happened
Being you are the only poster mentioning the Leak's over the last few weeks why don't you back up your claim, you've repeated the same claim over and over you were challenged the other day by overheal to back up your claim and ran away,
So let's see all of your evidence
Iraq was an environmental car crash to begin with, so will be tough to pin down causality.
Kosovo might be a better source of info. I'm almost certain the Italian "Balkan Syndrome" cases are still ongoing.
And this????
But as you well know your the only poster mentioning the Leak's over the last number of weeks and yet you haven't been able to back up any of these claims.
Why ????
Depleted Uranium is not fully inert and gives off more than background levels of radiation, but the levels are low.
If there is even a slither of truth to that story...I'm going to need to renew my popcorn subscription.
No Idea what that's about..
But that's not what you were asked you keep making these false claims about the leaks over the last few weeks, and when you get challenged by anyone you run away,
Can you back up your claims yes or no
@ correct horse battery staple and this is just from may ,the only poster mentioning leak's is you,
There’s a certain poster here who keeps making out that the leaks were true,
doctored and wishful Russian “leak”
Russian claims and “leaks”
"intelligence leak”
"This “source” is the intelligence “leak”
Nobody else is talking about the leaks except you...
In a sense it doesn't matter whether it's true or not, that's the genius of it.
Experienced Azov assault troops against raw Russian mobiks, hardly surprising the outcome hasn't went well for the Russians.
That's not how NATO works, if the big countries want it to happen, it will, Hungary/Turkey disagreeing (for example) means nothing, it just turns into a negotiation for how it will occur not if it will occur (like will happen with Sweden where there is no time pressure, Finland with the big russia border flew through). No one wants to be outside the hypothetical "No Hungary" club.
Interesting thread and replies. Apparently one of the Z's put herself out there at a Russian against Russia demo in Dublin earlier on. But alas has now been pictured with the Z's. So no doubt which camp she was in.
Looks like it's purposely done and to get photographed and on the TV to send a message to any Russians living here.
#Russianembassy
Apparently up to 4 alleged Storm Shadow strikes total have taken place (Luhansk) in the last 2 or 3 days. UK intelligence confirms that a critical Russian airbase 150km N of the Ukrainian border was hit by UAVs possibly damaging one of the transport aircraft.
This is why I posted about it last night this has been going on for years now,
Donations been raised here for Russian forces and militia groups under the guise or humanitarian aid,and at the same time turning up at the capuchins to give themselves some legitimacy
What F16s does the UK have
...
The radioactivity part is not the issue, it's the chemical toxicity part. We need some metals like iron, selenium, others are non toxic like gold or titanium, while the rest tend to be chemically toxic to varying degrees, like arsenic, lead. Others are toxic from both radioactivity and chemistry like radium, pulonium and yep uranium. However with depleted uranium it's the chemistry that's the major issue.
None. According to the press release with be an adapted training course to teach them universal training which can then be applied to F16's with further training.
I imagine the training won't just involve pilots, ground crews, maintenance, etc.
Apparently the Ukrainians are extremely fast learners as we have seen with the missile systems they were given.
Same training course they have been talking about for months now and still in the talking about,
I get the feeling learning how to fly a F16 effectively and in combat won't be so quick no matter how fast learners are ,
Training will be most likely on simulators so the fact that the UK has no F16s won't be an impediment. Training would be for pilots who already have frontline fighter jet experience and would only need to focus on differences between, for instance, a MIG-29 and the more sophisticated F16. I think what's important here is the choreography. The UK wouldn't be offering training unless they were certain that the hardware would follow.
I get the feeling learning how to fly a F16 effectively and in combat won't be so quick no matter how fast learners are
We heard the same charge about the patriots and here they are knocking a missile out of the sky which was thought impossible.
Anyway the experts tasked with training them believe it's possible so that negates our opinion on it really.
