yes, it's certainly the talk of the town in politics that FFG leadership are so desperate to ensure that a govmt minister who supposedly has nothing to hide, but has a very dodgy public track record, must under no circumstances be allowed to take questions. You are inferring he was kicked out or left because of his views on Russia not being compatible with the site which is absolutely untrue, he left as RT offered him more money to spout Russian propaganda for them and the optics of him still being a stakeholder while doing so wouldnt look good for the ditch so they decided to move his stake to a shell company operated by cosgraves solicitor but chay bowes is absolutely still a part owner of the ditch.
He was a 1/3 shareholder up until February of this year. He’s now over in Moscow comparing how great it is compared to the squalor and moral decline in Ireland. He’s a Russian stooge. Now I know that a lot of people at the fringes of Irish life are into the Russian narrative regarding the war, but it doesn’t take away from the fact he owned a substantial share in The Ditch.

It's not immediately obvious how an RTE interview with Paddy Cosgrave is evidence of the Ditch spreading Russian disinformation.
It is evidence of the main backer of the Ditch spreading disinformation.
Spreading conspiracy theories and mistrust in not just the parties in government but the institutions of government itself.... yeah that's not a playbook they've used anywhere else before.....

Because the two guys in the Ditch stated this in a recent interview, They did not want his views causing any problems for the Ditch.
The credibility of the Ditch is inexorably linked to the credibility of it's main funder.
Having said that P Cosgrave probably thought he did a good days work today.
Bowes sold his shareholding earlier this year but he stepped back from the Ditch last year.
Chay was asked to leave the Ditch last year by the 2 other lads in the Ditch and he sold his shareholding last February.

Sure I get that plenty of people have questions about whether or not there is an agenda behind the Ditch.
But if somebody publishes factual information because of an agenda, that information does not suddenly become disinformation because of the agenda.
Take the Niall Collins story for example. Which is more credible?
a) it's a story of the sort cute hoor gombeenism very common to county council business up and down the land
or
b) it's Russian disinformation
If anybody really thinks the Kremlin is trying to smear Niall Collins' good name by fabricating stories about his conduct on the Bruff Local Electoral Area Committee in 2007, then they've lost all credibility themselves.
Nothing the Ditch has written has been proven to be wrong. Collins if he had any decency would have resigned as a minister, but he will wait until he is told to go by MM or LV and I am not sure if that will happen.
Or, and its a wild theory I'll grant you, its neither of those.
