They want to open new doors, but will more likely be pushed through existing windows.
Hard to know what's really happening at the moment - accounts like UKR gaining a bit Bakhmut are reported and then endlessly rehashed in various forms and analysis pieces. Information and disinformation. The fog of war seems pretty thick these days.
...
Mordor is already rolling out the red carpet for them:

Germany suddenly going America all of a sudden..
Those are staggering figures if even fairly accurate. Best estimates is Russia has lost 20k minimum in Bakhmut. This gives a total figure of about 50k dean and wounded for Ukraine
Most Russian friendly analyst's give total ( dead and wounded)losses for Russia at 200k+. We know that Russia has poor medical backup so it's unlikely there dead to wounded ratio is less than Ukraine. Assuming tfat Russia must be up near 100k soldiers dead with seriously wounded 150k.
While Russia has a huge population, Ukrainian population is still about 30% of it. This reminds you of the Israeli/Arab conflicts where the more technically advanced army is capable if inflicting unsustainable losses on the other side.
From your own article
Currently, 30 countries are members of NATO. As of 2022, only seven states among the 30 members spent 2% of their GDP on defense.
But yet you keep on posting nonsense to find a way out of the hole you went full jcb on ,
Looks like something big was hit in khmelnitsky western ukraine last night,
yeah, something must have changed or is changed, they dont seem to be afraid and could be under someones protection...or like you say they have parachutes...or could even be more 'fog of war' shite,at this stage its very hard to tell...and whats the deal with the wagner mercenary head?really been mouthing off alot lately...
I've seen too many of these recently.
Russians shoot down their own helicopter
Sadly, the problem remains that while there are these critical voices, they're not all pushing in the same direction. Some are critical in a way that still favours the war (Prigozhin) and others are critical in a way which is against it (Kara Murza). It seems to be one of the pillars of Putin's strategy for maintaining power that things below him are fragmented in some way so that no one element becomes too powerful and is able to challenge him directly. The internal tensions this war is generating will test this idea to its limit, as things become more urgent. Still, even if Putin is ousted, there remains the worry of an even madder man gaining power. Not that this should prevent people from trying to oust him, but it would be a crap result all the same. There needs to be some moderate voices emerging within Russia who the West can perhaps help tip the scales in order to help them gain power. The Angry Patriots Club, on the other hand, read like they'd be as bad as Putin in terms of their national aims.
Great news about the German package and great to see explosion's in Luhansk. For too long this city was a Safe haven for Russian logistics.
Looks like they shot down one of their own helicopters over klintsy Bryansk, Russia are claiming it crashed due to engine failure
Beaten to it by ZV2
It took them long enough, this should have happened at the start rather than waiting for 14/15 months post invasion
The Nato countries defense budget is 17 time's what Russia spends on defense. The Canadian and European budget is 5.5times the Russian budget. This I think excludes the former neutral countries of Sweden and Finland.
France has annual defense budget of 1.9%. it's only Germany and Italy of the large NATO Economies that are not near 2%. However both of them are at 1.5%
Remember as well the US has a vested interest in Europe increasing it's spending as it military industry will no doubt benefit from it
Can you point to a single official acknowledgement of the presence of GLSDBs in Ukraine, or of them being used? Perhpas some photos of bits of them found at sites struck?
Joint Direct Attack Munition-Extended Range (JDAM-ER) precision-guided bombs arrived in Ukraine around three weeks ago, according to General James Hecker, the U.S. Air Force's top commander in Europe and Africa.
The U.S. has "recently" delivered "some precision munitions" to Ukraine that have an "extended range," Hecker said during a Colorado roundtable discussion. "That's a recent capability that we were able to give them probably in the last three weeks," he added, according to The War Zone section of The Drive outlet.
He then confirmed he was referring specifically to the JDAM-ER, the outlet reported.
Uited24 is an official Ukrainian government innitiative founded by Zelnskyy:
So when they release a video of JDAM-ERs being used on a building in Bakhmut - that's what it is:
The GLSDB isn't even an operational system, they are still making bits for it, so it has not been in use in Ukraine since January.
I understand why you might think that some long range strikes 'must' have been the GLSDB because they were at far greater range than the official range of the JDAM-ER and were within range of the GLSDB, but the former has a glide ratio of 12:1 according to an Australian paper on it's development, so from that it can be worked out that all the mystery explosions within 200km were within the real range of the JDAM-ER.
Some speculation on Twitter that Luka is in induced coma. He was sick during the "victory day", dead silence after that and for the last couple of months before
A second helicopter???
The Swiss parliament voted for amendments to the law that would allow Swiss-made weapons to be transferred to Ukraine. The final decision will be made in a referendum.
They lost an Mi-28 in Crimea yesterday, both pilots killed.
Kadyrov was recently poisoned by Putin and his liver and likely other bits are in a real mess. Lukashenko is more of a fool than I already think if he went anywhere near Mordor without taking enough food and drink to last him the duration, and an armed guard to stand over it. Stupid to eat or drink anything local.
That video was debunked weeks ago,
Top right of screen you can see missle followed by an explosion, and I previously showed exactly the video With the same result ,a missle strikes and no jdam or Jdam-er ,
So your rehashing your own post that doesn't show a JADAM strikes,,the same jdams you claimed were used against targets just after the Biden visit, coincidence was the word you used as your evidence...
Not everyone has problem with their memory
Not a Jdam or Jdam-er.
Definitely a missle likely HiMars
Yeah Just after I posted the first one a few minutes after your initial post on the first getting shot down,a second in the same region was reported ,
Air Defenses are working overtime
They mooove veeery slowly - but just maybe they are now realising the future of their financial and manufacturing industries are going to feel a chill wind. And just maaaaybe, they might be seen to get behind Ukraine, even thooough it may not happen till the war is over........... hypocrites much.
@zv2 seems it was one helicopter and one SU -34 ,
Seems like they are keeping their own Air defenses busy
Hypocrite would be Ireland having no defence force to speak of and relying on others for defence while giving out about other countries not doing enough.
While I 100% support Swiss neutrality the current law of banning re-export by other countries is going too far. Everything in Switzerland moves slowly as there is always reasoned debate before common ground is found. Stable democracy = wealthy country. This will inevitably end up at a people’s referendum and would probably pass but narrowly enough. There will be proper discussion though, not the shambles that tends to be Irish governance (lived in Ireland during the crash of the tiger with the ill thought out bailouts etc)
Some people see a Russian submarine
Thing is.. we don't have a large armaments industry for starters. What's the point of producing military equipment inc munitions, if you then limit it's use. And particularly limit it's use against a rogue state with large amounts of funny money invested in your banks???
The Swiss legislature could have moved on this in March 2022, over a year ago. Explain the delay and why the change of direction?
Sorry, the cynic must observe the Swiss have been sitting on the fence and watching for which way to jump. But they are still only indicating which way this might be and it could all be a useless virtue signalling exercise designed to minimise loss of trade.
And yes, I'd be critical of our own very inflexible and meaningless notions about 'neutrality'. But even if we threw that out the window tomorrow, we have little to offer by way of military assistance in the current European war.
A Fun 48 hours for the Russian airforce
The MI-28 downed in Occupied Crimea due to mechanical failure
Today an SU-34 and at least one MI-8 seems to have downed by Russia's own Anti-Air systems
Russian Telegram miliblog Rybar seems to indicate 4 Russian Aviation losses today. Possibly a second MI-8 at least https://twitter.com/NOELreports/status/1657352763217436672
