The bookies have slashed the odds on Glasgow now making it a firm favourite.
I have a range of weekends with free cancelleation booked
San Marino are going to have four semi finals!
Right after the final they announce the full results of the semi finals.
I genuinely would say Ireland last or second last in their semi.
Get in Poland.
Currently 200/1, has to be worth putting my money where my mickey is, i can't be the only one :-)
No major shocks there, maybe Denmark instead of Albania would be fairer. Enjoyed it tonight.
Did you miss the bit where Ukraine won last year? People were not escaping reality when they voted.
It can be multi-faceted, a break and a recognition. A reminder of normality and an acknowledgement things are not normal.
The Reperchage!
I liked Albania, love traditional culture in a song, far more original and authentic. Pity we don't bring some Sean Nós, at least it would stand out and could be modernised.
Rona Nishlu. Albania's finest hour, Eurovision 2012, Baku.
Around mid song crucendo.
..
Final running order!
I wonder why none of the qualified countries didn’t think it would be a good idea to perform a formulaic song onstage in a horrific sparkly gold coloured Evel Knievel outfit (1980’s studio 54 flares included) .
It’s as if these winners are living in 2023. Someone should tele-fax or page the Irish EVS delegation / organisers etc and tell them to study what actually works. Stop applying failed out of date copy and paste music , style and choreography NOW ?
considering they’re an established band gigging for years I’d imagine the ridiculous clothes were “advised” by the production team
Somethin like shipping up to Boston would be great
And carlow
Late late show would have said “good song but not Eurovision “
Seamus & Caoimhe Ui Flaherty. Scarborough Fair.

Someone should ring Marty and tell him he's the only one that thinks Ireland were badly done by.
It was way better than that bland UK song.
As someone above said it's nice to have some bit of national flavour to a song.
Made up for Go A. not winning for Ukraine the year before.
Hence why in the current set up Cruachan won't get anywhere near the national selection
We regarded Australia as a bit of a joke when they first were allowed to enter it, but they take it really seriously.
If there was all this block voting what block votes for Australia?
The simple fact is we took eurovision for granted for too long, then we looked down our noses at all the theatrics of modern eurovision. I think finally though the penny has dropped

I’ll be watching on Saturday night with bated breath as to which country will win. I’ve put €100 on Ukraine to win the two years in a row. I haven’t even heard Ukraines song. It’s such a certain win I’ve already spent the money.
If viewers want to see who the real winner of EVS 2023 is then just have a peep at who is in second place. (Hey ….. Exactly as of last year as the UK were in 2nd place and are hosting , lol)
It’d be gas if Ukraine beat our 7 wins (if the conflict continues) over the next 4 years.
They have been victors now 3 times. A win tomorrow night gives them 4 total victories.
Not out of the realms of possibility imho.
Exactly, Australia have delivered (yet again) with one of the best songs of the contest.
We (the UK) finally got it right last year, Sam Ryder NOT acting as British people usually do - constantly negative and looking down their nose at Europe :D
And it worked - keeping up the good positivity and good ‘vibes’ (can’t believe I used that word), schmoozing with the other countries, add to that a great song and amazing performance - everything that Australia have done.
Might emigrate tomorrow :D
Ah the other thing is that Australia seemed to be having fun on stage. Slovenia, Belgium, Finland, Portugal also.
Or thriving on the platform of the big stage like Luthuania, Cyrprus, Norway elevated their songs.
I keep hearing cruachan and they’re great lads but I think primordial would be the standard required
I think block voting is a myth , our next entry needs to chart high in all the “block “ voting countries, and it might be already too late for next year
whoever we send needs to work full time for a year promoting themselves and it would be tricky to get an established act
Not good for Austria zzz
I think your right, seems to be a bit of a realisation this year we are doing as badly as we deserve too
Current chance of Ukraine winning 7%
Sweden....51%.
I wouldn't go spending the money just yet
