Had my first Gamin (ZGM) heifer calve today to Keltic Rembrandt(LM8259). Bull calf. Came big enough in fairness. I suppose I took a chance on using an unproved bull on heifers but I trusted the genomics testing result.
Try and pic during the week. Did the gamin stay low. Bought a gamin heifer last back end but I'm not going bulling her. She never got tall just wide.

How's ur Gamin for milk Patsy?
She's ok, but only ok considering her mother has a serious amount of milk. I had her on a bare field for the last few weeks, so maybe that didn't help. her teats weren't that full even.
No she's a nice height but her mother is very high. I have a few other gamin heifers here and they look like they will stay low and muscley. Not ideal for breeding. Ya I used Rembrandt on a few last year. 3 generations of good bulls from a herd that always have nice stock, I'd be surprised if he doesn't breed well.
First two Gamin heifers calved here a month or two ago, they’re off milky cows, they have small bags of milk but are doing a good job on their calves so far, both have nice muscly bull calves. Heifers off Gamin would need to be off cows with plenty of milk.
How was he for gestation
They’ll prob have decent bags when they have a few more calf’s
Thats a little Gamin heifer only 5 days old bit will be shaped enough and tall enough too I'd say.She's off a first calver only 278 days gestation and calved unassisted

True, i’m happy with them so far anyway, have a couple of nice heifers off Clonagh Frosty King this year also, he works well on small muscly Lim cows that need size and milk improving.

Frosty King is a super bull I think k,anything I had off him was nice
He breeds nice heifers, some of my best cows are off his full brother direct debit.
Would he be a good bull to keep replacements off?
Heifers. The 3 that calved this spring calved themselves @ 24months. Another 4 of them due in the autumn.
I’ve a lovely Sympa x Cerberus heifer ready for bulling.

I would say maybe Tomschoice Lexicon would suit her, but I see he's gone of the WWS site now. Go with a proven easy calving sire anyway.
If she’s tall Loyal would be a good choice.
What about CWI, I’ve a 2yo JSS calved to him
Maybe, I’ve never used him, he doesn’t seem to be popular with pedigree breeders, Loyal does at the moment.
I’ve 2 full sisters here with the same breeding, 1 year apart. Cerberus off a sympa cow. Gave them both Loyal, both had heifers. Actually Ai’d one of them today to Ivor. She’ll be 2 next month. I’ll get pictures for you tomorrow

Loyal and Lexicon are very good suggestions and you could also consider Mereside Godolphin or Ionesco as well. An Ionesco heifer would make a lovely cow down the road.
Find lexicon doesn’t bring size, neither does loyal but he brings great width
Bel Orient would breed great cows
Is Bel Orient still available? I tried the Lim Society last year and they didn't have him.
I think you need to modernise and get more commercial, there's too much Limousine in her already, if you like the colour I'd go for a Red Angus or even a Stabiliser.

Hi Lads I have some bb heifers to AI next week I have then synchronised and will be for AI next week. Was thinking off using a limousine bull that would add some height as some off these are challenged vertically 🤣 I will be using PG and was thinking of LM4217 knell bull he seems to be leaving nice stock behind him and looks big?
Also I may use SA4604 roy on one of the smaller ones just for calving ease but does he add any size ?
Knell ain’t that handy calved. Lm2014 best limousin you can use.
Had a handy 2nd calver calve here today to knell,calved herself a nice bull calf,also have a Roy heifer from a blue 1st calver from last year she calved no bother at 24 mts,will stick up a few pics tomorrow
