Extraordinary footage, note the number of corpses he has to step over.
Off you go and find pages and pages as you claimed,
If not put it down to you making things up shall we ,
More Orc reservists to be trained up. The annual great waste of human life continues.
Don’t call it an unprovoked war
dude looked ready to jump out of his chair so fast you wonder why he’s not on the front line with the cannon fodder he looks itching to fight.
On the flanks, the enemy undertook counterattacking actions, as a result of which, according to Yevgeny Prigozhin, units of the 72nd brigade of the Russian Defense Ministry left their positions southwest of the city.
Another small position abandoned by the Russians and interesting that it once again it happened to the regular Russian army, and not Wagner.
Radar does not measure mass. The #1 influencing factor is radar cross section, of which a missile will be significantly smaller than a fiberglass glider.
Also I never said anything about how detectable a glide bomb is in its own right, only that it is less detectable than a ballistic trajectory missile, which is true.
Did you say 'meat grinder'?
On paper a glide bomb is not too difficult to intercept. They're slow-ish and have a predictable-ish trajectory. The Russian ones have a big radar cross-section.
Ukraine don't seem to have any systems well-suited to the purpose. A missile based system is not economical given how cheap and numerous glide-bombs can be. An auto-cannon type system is more appropriate. USA's C-RAM can surely shoot down glide bombs. But then you've got limited range/coverage so you need a lot of systems.
By all accounts Russia are using 20 daily, a mix of dedicated glide-bombs and retro-fits. The number is expected to go up. We'll have to see what Ukraine's response / counter is.
You are talking nonsense. Things that glide have a glide ratio, that is x amount of forward travel for Y drop in height. This translates to a more or less linear glide-slope. They do not plummet vertically from 15km in altitude to less than 100m and then fly multiple km straight and level to their target below radar level.
This is how it works in the real world, not your made up BS:
That's from a paper detailing the development of the JDAM-ER wing kit. For 99% of it's flight it's at an altitude that makes it easily detectible.
Interestingly, that reveals that the JDAM-ER has an approximately 12:1 glide ratio, meaning if you release one at 15km altitude, it's going to travel a lot further than the published spec.
There's a slight difference between the size of a glider and a bomb. The glider being 10x the surface area of a fab 500.
But detecting it on radar is one thing, shooting it down is another. As there's no heat signature, you're relying on the missile's radar being strong enough to detect it or use the AA radar system to guide the missile on to target, but you also expose the radar then.
Nonsense. A glide bomb is every bit as detectable as a plane. If a civillian ATC radar can easily detect a fiberglass glider that only has a few Kg of metal in it at 100km+, a military AA radar is going to have not the slightest problem with a 500Kg Fab 500. The UK Sky Sabre can track and hit an object the size of a tennis ball.
Russians are not only at war with Ukraine
They are at war with eachother as well
Russian KH-55 landed in Poland in December this popped up recently looks like it's been confirmed,
Flew across ukraine and into Poland undetected by ukraine and polish/Nato Air defenses ,
Could have been an interesting situation if it travelled further
What pages and pages ,
Like the leaks you keep referring to despite nobody else mentioning them.
It's still more than likely propaganda,
Despite someone not exactly really so sure in thar that little clip ,
They can dropped from 15 but they don't stay at altitude they drop , which makes it a lot more difficult for air defense systems to deal with,it a bomb or Cruise missle is coming in low , Anti aircraft missles won't be an use to deal with them
Russian pride parade
Seems like taking more land is more important than losing lifes
Russians don't really give a damn about how many soldiers they loose to take ground, especially in Bakhmut. However I'm sure the ground they loose hurts even more!
Wait.... so it wasn't Ukrainian propaganda as was claimed on this thread!
Japan strengthening ties with NATO. Follows on from the Australia PM being invited to the NATO summit in July. Another win for the Evil dwarf in Moscow.
It does indeed,it was his collagues from gazproms private military company that fcuked up again, lol it seems
Glide bombs dont follow a ballistic trajectory so they are harder to detect by radar than conventional ballistic missiles.
Whether they are within radar range or not depends on the missile and the distance at launch.
I agree tho that "under the radar" is nonsense, without massive propulsion they do not fly that low. All missiles are detectable by radar, the only difference in glide vs ballistic is how early they are detectable.
I haven't gone through all the replies so I don't know if this has been mentioned but there's a podcast called Behind the Bastards. They did a two part episode on Stephen Segal where they pretty much just laugh at him.
I'm linking part two below. It's amazing the **** he claimed to have done. It's over an hour long but well worth a listen.
Did you know he claims to be the reincarnation of a buddhist Lama? Or that he was sacked from his TV show when he drove a tank through someones property?
Some progress in Bakhmut for Ukraine
The looming designation of Wagner as a terrorist organisation by the EU and UK following the lead of the Baltics is interesting. The UK and EU are both saying it is largely symbolic, but it is not. Membership of a terrorist organist is a criminal offence. The 100k + men who are now/have/will fight for Wagner in Ukraine, can never leave again leave Russia because they are terrorists. They can never attend a football match abroad at the Euro Championships, they can never visit their brother or sister working in Germany, Slovakia or Naas.
It may also be a decision to finally take the gloves off against Wagner in Africa.
If you re-e-wind a few pages, you should get caught up on most of your questions.
Uncle fester rings a bell too
You could clone an S-300 missile, but it would take years, not weeks or months.
What do you mean 'under the radar'? That is not how glide bombs work. They 'glide', so the higher the altitude you release them from, the further they can glide and so the further away you can keep the plane that releases them from air defences, but that plane will be certain to be detected, along with the bombs they drop
Glide bombs are dropped from high altitude, I have seen 15km suggested for the FAB 500s, so well within defence radar detection capabilities.
