On the lookout for something to freshen up my shoe roster....has anyone tried the Zoom Fly 5 yet?
Edit: bought these this morning - from reading the reviews it seems like this shoe has evolved quite a bit recently.
I have a pair of Zoom Fly 3 and my understanding of those was that they were for sessions, short races etc but it seems the new version is geared towards longer and slower efforts
This is surely a scam site right? https://www.brooksrunnersireland.com/
https://www.brooksrunning.com/en_ie is the official site.
Thanks. Reported it to Brooks as the website is actually ranking fairly high on Google and robbing legitimate stores of sales
I have seen a similar site recently for a different brand. I can't remember which. It had the same tell tale sign. The tumblr and twitter links at the bottom didn't go to an actual tumblr or twitter account. Plus what big brand has a tumblr account.
Thought of this thread when someone sent on this cartoon 🙂
I thought the answer was going to be "Divorce papers" 🤣
Some great deals on Lifestyle Sports at the moment plus you can use your VHI Parkrun vouchers if you have them
Picked up a pair of Novablast 3's for 75 euro.....never tried them but the reviews are good.
Where did you get them at that price? Interested in trying them out myself
Just googled 'Novablast 3 Ireland' - saw an ad for Lifestyle for 75 euro - clicked thinking they never have my size and they ONLY had my size! (9). So it was meant to be.
Got the Adizero Adios 7 for €40
This is just a random comment, possibly deserving of its own thread, but I've raced all out efforts recently in Alphaflys, Vaporflys, Takumi Sens and Endorphin Pro 3s and the times have all been within the same VDOT band. Obviously it's just a sample of one but I do feel that we've reached a point where there's minimal difference between the flagship supershoes. I know the general consensus is that the Nike shoes still have the edge but I'm sceptical at this stage.
I didn't expect to be buying running shoes today, but here we are! Also picked up a pair but at E50. I presume the additional E10 off was park run vouchers or something?
I've never tried on Adidas running shoes so im curious how they will fit, there is a decent chance they'll go back!
They had a code the other day that took 20% off. It seems to be gone now though. I also got the Adios 7 for €40.
The BA'er in me has just died a little!
On the 26th they had 20% off for one day only
Edited to see someone already said it
Arrive on Saturday but unfortunately they don't feel right on me, so back they go. A little narrow on the toe just didn't feel quite right. maybe another half a size up would have solved it, but we are where we are!
I have a pair of Novablast 2 LE coming that I'll also try but I really think at stage I need to just bite the bullet and actually go into a shop (the horror) and try things on
Anyone seen Endorphin Pro 2/3 at a decent price?
Mine are quite tight as well. Got a 10 in these and I've always been a 10 in Adidas (think I had a 9.5 at one stage). I think if I had gone up a half or even a full size they would be fine. Not sure what to do. Might keep them and see how I get on
I am about to order the Endorphin Pro 2’s on Amazon for €70, delivery to a US address and collecting them when I am there next week.
I think this is a good price?
also looking at Endorphin Shift for €54, should I get both at that price?
If they're the Shift 1 then I wouldn't bother unless you're building an extension.
If you get the Speed (any version!) at a good price then take them instead of the Shift.
My Novablast 2 LE came today and they actually fit! Which is a welcome change from the last two runners I bought.
Not sure I'm crazy about the LE (Light edition) aspect of them, the material is kind of plasticy, but how breathable they are is probably a good thing for a guy like me who sweats a decent bit. They are comfortable though, very squishy sompared to what I've been using so far, so looking forward to trying them out.
Picked up the endorphin speed 2s for the first time, love them. My heel in particular feels a little more protected.
Where did you get them please. Thinking of picking up a pair if the price is right
Picked them up on sportsshoes.com for a €165 towards the end of April.
Ok thanks for that. I thought there would be more off them now considering the 3 has been out a while but obviously not.
That's very expensive for speed 2s in April.
Seen a pretty positive shoe review for the Saucony Axon 3 as a cheap daily trainer and pulled the trigger yesterday- €87 . Delivery date 16th, will let you guys know next week if they are worth it
