Yeah this story came up in the headlines because of the Kentucky Derby, but digging into it there's been 100s of horse deaths even just in the past few years, even in the UK and Ireland. I'm surprised there hadn't been grander chatter about it.
At the Derby, 7 horses were put down, 3 of them belonged to the same owner who was suspended from the races.

Has selectively breeding horses gone too far or what
