Does anyone have any experience with preordering on GameStop? I put my preorder in last week and asked them if it's guaranteed to be in stock for collection on Friday and they said yes but I've heard mixed reviews online regarding them.
I couldn't resist any longer and caved yesterday. 😭
With Zelda hopefully it'll be there on time check with the store on Wednesday to confirm
Even with a discount on it it would be suicide to delay delivery as Smyths are €10 cheaper currently and will have stock.
Yeah hopefully! Almost tempted to cancel the pre order and getting it through smyths but don't know if I'm bothered, it seems like it should be grand.

Tears of the Kingdom official guide is available for preorder in both softcover and hardcover on Amazon UK. Written by the same team at Piggyback Interactive that did the BOTW guide.

Still haven't been charged for Smyths pre order yet. The 1c card verification was successful. Hopefully see a charge some time tomorrow or Wednesday morning at the latest so I know its on the way 👍
My kids have the Switch and this game booked.
Should have fobbed them off with a PS years ago.
If it's as good as the last game, we'll still be playing it in 2029. 😀

My kids are also at fever pitch. Probably the most excitement about a game there has ever been in this house.

We all had the best time with BOTW.
It's a brilliant game to watch and figure out together and play individually. And you can play it so many different ways.

I just hope it's not Majora's Mask dark or creepy ... all the time. That'd be too much for a large open world game. From the trailers it seems not.
BOTW was meh, TOTK is far better.

Re: GameStop Zelda apparently gonna be full price on Friday so no 10% discount, I've just gone into Smyths and put €5 down on a standard edition and walked out with Star Trek Prodigy for €9.99 for switch
Same here. Has anyone pre-ordered a game with Smyths before? What are the chances of a delivery on release day?
Side note - is it any wonder GameStop are closing when they are selling a new game like this for €10 more? It was the same with Hogwarts Legacy.
Smyths will be fine for release day. They charge on the day they dispatch. If I look at my TOTK OLED order, it was charged Thursday morning and I got a dispatch email 4 hours later. Delivered on Friday then.
RE4 came a day earlier, charged Wednesday morning, and delivered Thursday. Both charges came at around 6am, so if you don't see a charge tomorrow morning, it'll likely be Friday for delivery.
