Viking used to treat his father frank with contempt. Always doing Brens bidding and suchlike. That final " Can I get you anything Da?" was a release for him, finally hearing something touching from him. And he was glad to go to the light. A nice touch.

Bren was looking for a dress for Anna for a horrendous reason. He had asked a buddy to get one showing a picture in a magazine. He had obviously got the dress off screen. Viking was scratching his head when he saw it and his reaction was one of puzzlement. I don't think there was any other reference to it?I guess it was confirmation Bren was going ahead with his awful plan.
