Cannot see why waiting another 6 hours will make any difference. There is also some battery held in reserve at 0%, so actual amount in battery is more than 8% at the moment.

No need to panic.. You can leave it like this and when you do go to charge it will most likely still be around 7-8% .. Battery may use about 1% a day or if you are using Sentry it could be higher, but Sentry automatically is turned off when your battery goes below 20% so as to prevent it being exhausted.. The messages you are seeing are just gentle reminders to charge which is helpful if you are still driving. This is ssut "newbie" nervousness.. Let us all now what the battery % was at when you do go to charge

A 2 button reset or full factory reset?

It wouldn’t go through with a 2-button reset, tried it a few times. Only full factory reset worked, did it first time, though couldn’t tell you why

I've had mine a couple of days too, did a software update which put me onto version 2023.2.12, and no Tesla vision either. Google says you have to wait 24 hours between updates, and sure enough 2023.12.5 is downloading now- I think that one will have the Tesla Vision.

Anyone know if the Tesla destination chargers are open for public use. Like those you see in hotels. Heading up to Clare next weekend and staying close to the armada (but not in) and would be handy to use. Also do they charge directly from your Tesla account. Cheers
They are just plug and play.
In Dublin, they are in paid car parks generally, so the hotels have to validate your parking ticket and they’ll only do that of your using their services.
I think it won't top up the 12V battery (or whatever size it is now) when battery is below 20%, can't have sentry mode etc..on. I'd always start charging if battery was low after a trip. Can top up to 20% straight away and then do the rest on night rate later on
I tried power off first then 2 button reset but no joy. Full factory reset sorted it but needed to redo profile, wifi etc.
That’s normal. Sorry, I was saying that you sounded to re-enter details on a 2 button reset but a full factory reset requires it.
Two questions for those more knowledgeable than myself.
1. Can you control the wiper setting from the steering wheel or do you have to use the touchscreen once you activate the wiper menu via the stalk.
2. Can you turn off the wireless charging pad.

After the latest update you can control the speed of the wipers from the left wheel. Press left or right after first pressing in wiper switch on stalk.
I don't believe you can turn off the charging pad.
So I'm about to order a model y. But the bank want an invoice before they will release funds. Once I pay the 250 can I generate this? Or do.i need to contact tesla?
The deposit should be enough as you'll get a booking invoice auto generated in your account which should be enough if you are going for an EV / Green loan. It definitely is with BOI anyway.

In addition using voice controls (right scroll wheel) works well to turn wipers on or off or increase or decrease wiper speed
