RTE's new 8 episode gangland drama with an all star cast.
AMC start date is September 9th I can't see a start date for RTE just a coming soon.
It's not any one we know, it is just a random person.
I think the lady who got knocked down may well be Mrs The Babadook!!
The lady who was knocked down is actually Michael's sister.
..
maybe it's how he always has done things ? lots of people who grew up with little who are now rich would not dare spend money in the likes of brown thomas. the off spring are another story. think this would be extremely accurate. Bren doesn't seem to be a person with the amazon app on the phone to be fair
i have to say well done to Anthony for a great double hit considering he couldn’t fire a f**king gun 3 episodes ago
You know that something is good when it riles Mannix! 🤣
I thought he had no problem with car drivers being able to do what they want on the roads.
Christy Burke tried the same thing when season 1 was airing. It just screams of attention seeking tbh

Any attempt to stay relevant and for a sound bite and a quote published.
And so it all boils down to the last episode for something major to happen!
What made me chuckle this week was the guard giving Nikki back her stuff used to be in Red Rock. She wasn’t a guard in it but very funny & worked in the guard station. Wish she had a bigger part. Loved her in it.
Looking forward to Bren’s demise! Bring it on.
Plus he probably doesn't want to be broadcasting too widely to his family that he's buying it, clearly they'll see why he's doing it. He uses people he can intimidate into keeping quiet about everything he's up to.
He's on a roll.
He had Birdy and Nikki today.
Jenny is going to get jealous.
It matters because it should be realistic and this is not realistic of gangland Dublin. It's just another TV drama ruined by diversity. I'd rather see examples of racism if it involves a black character rather than they playing the actual gangsters. Isn't that a more accurate reflection of modern day Dublin?
The Bren character though I don't doubt is what I expect just such a gangster to be like.
It's all ok, holds it's tension well enough, but it could have been so much better.
I think the likes of Kem and Nikita are far more likely to reflect real life people than Bren. They've gone a bit overboard with him, made a caricature out of him.
That’s daft. Bren is a character that may have been effective in 1975 but wouldn’t survive long in a modern crime organisation. Too stupid, too knee-jerk and too self-defeating.
I think Bren is realistic enough, he reminds me a lot of Cornelius Pric€ god rest his soul.
As a soldier yeah, in a position of authority no. You cannot run a significant gang being that stupid.
I fail to see how a few black actors, with only one now being in a recurring role, hinder how "realistic" the show is. The way any gang operates in this show isn't reflective of any real-life gangs, but the two black people are what ruins it for you. And the kicker is that you think stories involving black people in Dublin can only depict the racism they face, and while yes, that is a reality, why does it need to be in every single story? The diversity doesn't ruin how "realistic" the show is or the show entirely; the writing is what does that, but you don't recognize that because of your prejudice.
Rubbish. If Kin was set in present day London, I can accept that and I speak as someone who has only ever lived for many years in both London and Dublin, taking into consideration the recent and existing demographics in both cities. No, it is not reflective of existing gangland in Dublin, and that's what ruins it.
Such is the modern age. Its impossible to have a discussion about race before someone screams racism, to try and seize the moral highground. You forget, I am merely referring to Kin. This is not a discussion about black people in Dublin.
Again, there's like two black people. If that ruins the show or other dramas for you, then that sounds like an issue you need to resolve. And you can certainly bring up race without being racist, which is something you didn't do. This discussion surrounding race in the show is quite disappointing and frankly, exhausting. If the black people on the show bother you, then don't watch it, simple as that.
As I said. Impossible to discuss sensibly. Thanks for proving my point.
Between 17% to 19% of the people resident in the four largest cities in Ireland (census 2016, will increase with the latest figures) are non-Irish born. Many are Polish, many are Polish, many are Pakistani, many are Brazilian, many are British.
Get used to seeing people from these and other nations on your screen for the foreseeable future. Forever basically. They represent our varied culture and they all add much to it.
Looking forward to the last episode tonight !
Wonder will they wrap it up neatly or leave a mess to be sorted next season?
Poor Anthony in thrall to Bren.. Not going to end well.
It's Frank I am worried about will he get bashed and then lash out
Yep, bang of “sisters are doing it for themselves” girl power off it.
Brenner to collapse and croak it after a particularly messy night in the furry bog?
Their name is Badook not Patuk as far as we know
You had me totally confused there until I remembered that is the name of the pub!
Hope it's nothing like that
I wanna see him shot execution style or Michael and Jimmy chopping him up
Give the durty auld bastard a send off or keep him around for more fun next season
