Just opened today! Anyone know what percentage of job offers are based outside Dublin just out of curiosity?
Delighted to say I passed! 😁🥳
Just got my results from an interview on 19/04 for Cork. OOM 3 in Batch 4.
Does anyone know how many are in each batch? Is that something you can email and ask about?
Congratulations all
Congratulations. I was very surprised too. Also delighted to pass. Judging by previous batches may move fairly fast. Are you new to the civil service or a serving officer. Seems to move faster for already serving officers.
I've requested to stay in my Department and my manager has already made the request.
Congratulations 👏👏
Thanks, congrats to you too! 🥳😁
Already serving member so might wait and see where I get an offer for before I officially request to stay where I currently am.
I have already been told there is a position for me if I want to stay but curious to see if I would get out of AGS and into another department
Just to note, If they offer you another department, you will have to take it. Even requesting is not a guarantee but unusual not to be granted. As a union representative, I've been involved in resolving a scenario like this before.
Best of luck.
Will be too late to request to stay in the department you’re currently in if PAS has already offered you something else! I’m currently a CO in a department and I’ve put my request in with HR and with PAS. No guarantees of course but better to ask than not if it’s something you want☺️
Any update from Kerry
It’s not too late to request to stay. I knew someone who was offered elsewhere but got to stay in their department
Does anyone know what the remote working situation is for staff in the nsso?
Friend started in NSSO Killarney as an EO and is wfh 4 days a week
Only need to do 1 day a week in the office.
Is that across the board for all nsso offices? Got offered EO and have to accept by tomorrow? Also whats it like working in the dept? Is there flexi leave?
Not sure about flexi, but it appears that it's 1 day in the office across the board for NSSO.
I'm pretty sure NSSO staff still just have the ability to build up flexi when in the office (which isn't a lot of opportunity if you do 4 days from home).
I think the flexi pilot is scheduled to end soon though, and various arrangements may change when that happens.
What’s the hourly rate for an EO at point 1? I know the yearly scales are out there, just curious if I’ve worked out my hourly right.
Never thought to break it down to hourly rate before, but I'm getting €18.58 p/h on point 1.
Thank you! Haha neither had I til someone asked.
They started the clearance process with my yesterday - passed interview and was informed of this on Friday.
I am already in civil service as a CO and passed my interview through the open stream, I have 30 days annual leave carried over from the previous year. Does anyone know if this will be carried over onto the EO role if I go to another department?
Could anyone please explain the difference between the open and Interdepartmental stream?
To qualify for the interdepartmental stream you must be a current civil servant and have a minimum of 2 years in the service. The open stream requires no previous service, but you must have a minimum Level 7 qualification, or equivalent, to qualify.
If you qualify for interdepartmental stream do you still need a level 7 qualification?
This is from the 2019 booklet.
Have my interview coming up, just got word on my board and wondering has anyone got any feedback for board 4 dublin?
sorry didn’t mean to respond to this!
Hi im about to move to EO pt 1 through internal promotion. Just wondering anyone on this point yet could tell me what their fortnightly wage is after pension is deducted?
Got results last Friday, clearance email on Monday and told I’m going to Social Protection today, it’s moving fast enough
