Anyone going for public office has to have an ego to put themselves out there. A big ego to go for POTUS. Not to be confused with narcissism, which Trump is the very essence of.
By that logic, which is trotted out by Trump fans all the time, then nothing can ever be said about anyone until they are charged and convicted.
But that doesn't stop them calling for HC to be locked up. Or Hunters laptop.
Yet again, its the hypocrisy that is the most telling. Perfectly fine position to take that nothing should be said until a conviction, but at least attempt to be consistent with your 'principles'.

The first person to be charged with seditious conspiracy was Stewart Rhodes (leader of the Oath Keepers) and those charges were presented on March 21st 2021.
So lets look at those date/time stamps shall we????
The Tucker Clip is dated May 20th 2021 - So he was LYING
The next clip(no idea who he is) is dated June 21st 2021 - He was LYING too
Then we have Greg Gutfeld on October 19th 2021 - HE was LYING
Then you have some mouthpiece talking to Laura Ingraham on January 5th 2022 , Rhodes (along with another guy , Kevin Meggs) had already been CONVICTED of Seditious Conspiracy at that stage - She was extra LYING.
Then we have Mark Levin on October 22nd 2021 - Yep, LYING
Then back to Laura Ingraham on January 7th of this year AFTER Rhodes had been sent to prison - again LYING.
Do you even check facts before you dive in to defend people you claim to not really like???

I'm not defending them; they're the scum of the Earth.
But that CNN video is false and misleading.
Jeremy Bertino was charged in March 21 with seditious conspiracy, did you miss that?
He can apply for an appeal, but it is quite obvious the judge knows this because they are bending over backwards to still allow Trump to give evidence.
Can you actually provide a link to his being charged with seditious conspiracy in that year, as I cannot find it.
I can only find that he pleaded guilty to the charges in October 2022.
I stand corrected - They were ARRESTED earlier , Meggs was arrested in February 2021 along with several others arrested in March , all before any of those Fox clips.
The underlying point remains absolutely valid - Fox News breathlessly claiming that just because certain specific charges hadn't been leveled yet somehow meant that it couldn't be an insurrection is just nonsense and at least in the case of the last clip from Laura Ingraham , a flat out lie.
It's slimy word-play specifically designed to minimise the issue and make it sound like it wasn't what it was - Just like Tucker Carlson and his "video proof" that nothing happened on January 6th.
Rapidash, do you at least agree that the CNN video shows up how wrong Fox News were. Lets us remember that they just agreed to pay out $780m odd for knowingly spouting lies on their channel. What was their reason to call out the technically correct fact that as of a specific date a specific legal charge had not yet been applied?

Do you expect all those Fox presenters to go back to their viewers and say "You know , maybe we should have just waited for the wheels of justice to turn before telling you all that January 6th was a nothing and nothing really bad happened at all" ?
Bottom Line - Fox News have spent the last 2+ years attempting to minimise and diminish what happened on January 6th for exactly the same reason that they lied about Dominion.
They were telling their viewers what they wanted to hear - not the truth, but specific narrow versions of the truth padded with flat out lies to allow their viewers to continue to believe that they haven't been taken in by a world class scam artist who would happily burn them all to the ground if it meant he could steal their money.
That's an entirely different question, and has nothing to do with the CNN video itself. That post is nothing more than shuffling around, desperately trying to come up with an offramp after being shown to be wrong.
You had the temerity to accuse me of not fact checking what I post, yet it was you - not me - who ended up backtracking, effectively conceding that my reporting of the facts was correct. Now that the veracity of my point has been concretely established, you've decided to shift the goalposts to ask the question: why did these TV anchors say what they said?
As I say, an entirely different question, and one worth exploring for sure.
But it's not what I was calling out, which was the misleading video that CNN released.
Incidentally, this is the same kind of sleight of hand manoeuvres that CNN, MSNBC and others, levelled against Trump during his administration - and to a large extent, continue to do up to today.
The CNN video is not misleading. Fox was misleading in using the lack of charges as evidence that there was no inserrection prematurely. This was intentional on Fox' part to stir up controversy when they knew charges were likely coming down the line.
CNN have called them out on it.
