Any chance you are available to host the event?
I wouldn’t mind if Collins treated him like Fox News treated Asa Hutchinson:
“Governor, I just went through your record here,” Jones said to wrap up the interview. “And I gave you credit for the normal Republican positions. You’re right in line. But this is a new Republican Party. Thank you so much for your time, sir.”
Interesting interview set tomorrow, with Trump giving his only UK interview to GB News.
I wonder how longer it will take farage to remove his tongue from trumps backside after the interview? Will medical intervention be required?
Interesting how?
Im sure all of the gang will be tuned in for that, unmissable viewing.
I'd rather teabag my waste disposal unit in my kitchen sink than listen to Farage, no matter whom he's interviewing
the last time Nigel was "unmissable viewing" was when he was exposed as an idiot by Claire Byrne...
I'm embarrassed for him. Which is a waste of energy as he doesn't have the smallest notion of why he should be embarrassed for himself.
..
Wonder which of them will end up with the biscuit 😉
CNN and Trump need each other desperately. CNN like so much of the old school media is a dying platform relying on an aging demographic. They need Trump to win the GOP nomination. They gave him a ton of free promotion in 2016 in the interest of "fairness" and look how that turned out.
Trump still craves the approval of the likes of CNN despite all the "fake news" insults. Look at how eager so much of the media are to pronounce De Santis's campaign dead, that's Trump's team feeding them supposed scoops and then reporting it gleefully.
Toxic codependent relationship personified.
I thought I had conjured up a horrible image but you trumped it.
Reminded me and others of this...
Donald Trump was accused of sexual assault by a second woman in E. Jean Carroll’s bombshell civil rape case against him.
Jessica Leeds, 81, described being assaulted by Trump on a flight to NYC in the 1970s.
"It was like he had fifty zillion hands."
The two women colloborating Carrolls account and she discussing it with them, at the time is very strong. Would think on balance, as in a civil case the outcome won't be good for Trump. Will GOP collectively hold their noses and endorse a rapist?
Yet Bill Clinton, a darling of the liberal left, has been accused of this many, many times more and remains fawned upon by the same people condemning Trump on the basis of these allegations.
The hypocrisy stinks.
I'm by no means condoning Trump. If he is guilty, then he should and must pay the price. But it's the hypocrisy I'm trying to point out here - and stink it does.
Of course they will. It'll somehow end up being Hillary's fault.
But Bill Clinton.
Truly pathetic.
Trump has a basic numbers problem.
75% of his base are those who believe The Big Lie
The problem with that is fewer than 65% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents put stock in that. That's still an insane number, but it is far from the tallies he needs to win in a general. (More Americans support abortions and gun control)
Of those, 48% say they only suspect, and have no evidence of The Big Lie.
Even with the right wing bubble of republicans refusing to acknowledge the election was legitimate (they only go as so far to weasel out by saying 'Biden is the current [and illegitimate] POTUS') that share of Republicans believing it and believing there's evidence for it has dwindled over time. Even if everyone who believed The Big Lie indeed voted for Donald Trump, that's still going to fall well short of the ~70M votes he pulled in 2020. In all likelihood though many of them will primary for another Republican and then drop out of participating in the general.
Bill and JFK were randy yes. Rape is sort of, in a different league!
*Truth Social users frantically google CSI scripts*
Sexual assault can never be described as "being randy".
If we're going to be consistent, we should apply the same standards to Donald Trump's allegations as we would with any other US President.
The problem is that when sexual assault allegations are levelled against other US Presidents, you call it "being randy". When Trump is accused of the same, you take an entirely different approach to the allegations.
I've attempted to highlight the hypocrisy, but you've gone ahead and proven my point for me.
Have you a list of women who accused the two I mentioned of sexual assault?
Trump wont lose this case, no chance, its pie in the sky.
The allegations against Bill Clinton are well-established.
Christopher Hitchens went further, alleging that Clinton's behaviour was far worse than that which made it to public discourse.
But the same liberal left say nothing about Clinton today, but are perfectly happy to take allegations against Trump at face value. In other words, all that is required is the allegation - who cares if it's true or not.
If we're to be morally consistent here, we'd condemn all allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual assault, and rape etc. You've already dismissed Clinton's past allegations as "just being randy".
Imagine if someone on this thread said that about Trump's allegations? What do you think the reaction would be!?
But we're not seeing that.
Instead, one president is condemned for the same alleged crime that another president is given a free pass.
Edited.
The Trump Term in office really, reaaaalllly nuked the IQ level of the GOP.
"This is unusual, says Scott Wilkens, senior counsel at the Knight First Amendment Institute. In such lawsuits, Wilkens notes, you “often have to make inferences” about the motives driving government officials."
2 impeachments later etc. they think if you're popular enough with your base you can do anything. Which is why Ron DeSantis committed to writing in his published memoirs, that he sold for money and everything, that 'why yes, I am absolutely using the Florida State government to punish Disney for their political speech'
Which you know, is a verrrry cut and dry violation of Disney's 1st amendment rights (especially after Citizens United v FEC: 'corporations are people, my friend.')
Just imagine what discovery will involve when DeSantis and the Government have to hand over all responsive texts and emails etc. - and good luck even thinking about holding anything back from discovery, that's what forced Fox to settle with Dominion.
Buried in Disney’s complaint against DeSantis is something surprising. Numerous quotes taken from “The Courage to be Free” appear to support the company’s central allegation: that the Republican governor improperly wielded state power to punish Disney’s speech criticizing his policies, violating the First Amendment.
...
Ron, just take the L.
grover you're right.
Nah, deleting. Talking about him and his cult makes me feel dirty, sinking to those depths
