Vegan Battered Sausages - 2 in a pack - Frozen Food section - they are savage ! Give them a try even if you are non Veg
Long gone are the days of the cheaper minerals being cheap and nasty.
The orange and the rock shandy zero are lovely and just as good as the more expensive brands.
The ZX is nice too but I don't think it's as good as pepsi Max.
The ginger ale is really nice too, very refreshing on a summer's evening with a slice of lime.
How do you cook them?
Would they do well in the airfryer you reckon?
Sent that on to my brother and he said they were excellent and he done them in the air fryer. It's on my shopping list if any left after you all go try them!
These? Can you remember roughly how much they cost?
Yoiks!
Yet... 🤔

The ZX does the job. Coke Zero and Pepsi Max are probably nicer but for the price, ZX is grand.
The values in the rounded brackets are the recommended daily amounts, not what's in the product ;)
€1.99 per pk, but how much is 1 battered sausage in your local chipper? I know the chipper ones are twice the size in Dublin not sure where you are but in the midlands now they are half the size depending where you go, but almost twice the price yeah? So to me if they are a decent quality and taste similar I for one will be trying them next shop. I just checked my local Macari online and they charge €3.10 for the bigger one "which has shrunk lately" so still a good saving if the Aldi ones are nice.
Pardon me @igCorcaigh where you are is quite obvious! 😂
Yeah, I do them in the air fryer using the oven recommendations 180 C for 22 mins as far as I recollect
First battered sausage I had in 20 years, so I wouldn't have a notion how they compare to the real deal, but thanks for posting, very tasty!
Grabbed a pack of these sausages the other day based on the thread here. Had one earlier and was pretty disappointed. It’s fine in that it was moist and certainly passed for sausage meat but the taste wasn’t anything to write home about and isn’t a patch on the real thing. I was hoping for more because we should be doing more veggie substitutes but this wasn’t the starting point for me. Maybe I just had too high expectations at the outset!
The red pepper relish that's on offer at the moment is lovely. Don't know about the others.
Have they discontinued the O'Hara's/O'Shea's craft beer range? None in my local for weeks now. They were really nice reasonably priced beers.
The mini ice-cream cones are back - hurray!!!
It makes me so happy to have a little pile of them in a corner of my freezer ☺
Good to see some stock consistency, I am fed up getting to like Aldi products for them to just vanish never to be seen again.
On this note - can anyone please tell me if they've seen/bought the jalapeno relish of late?
https://groceries.aldi.ie/en-GB/ALDIIE/p-spicy-jalapeno-pepper-relish-320g-specially-selected/4088600050836
I saw that they're on offer but the jalapeno version wasn't included
-I'll be annoyed if they've discontinued it!
I loved it and bought a few jars the last time they had it but like a lot of other stuff it's vanished. It was always in the same box as the other relishes they have on offer now but I haven't seen it in a long time. I have a list as long as my arm of great products they sold that just vanished.
Something that's disappeared in my local Aldi in the last few weeks is the box of Moser Roth chocolate truffles that were like the Lindt Lindor balls. Are they gone everywhere?

Same. I thought they might be a Christmas thing as it’s a while since I’ve seen them and need to replenish my stock.
A few of the disappeared https://groceries.aldi.ie/en-GB/ALDIIE/p-4-wheat-toasting-muffins-220g-village-bakery/25171754

And I could keep going, why discontinue a popular product. Usually when it says out of stock they disappeared it.
When you see D on the price label it means that it’s going to be discontinued. It’s usually seasonal stuff that’s discontinued. When out of stock for a while it’s usually replaced with either a price increase or a similar product (probably fighting with the supplier over price)
The D is usually handwritten.
The salted caramel protein yogurts seem to be gone too but...
... there is a new big pot natural protein yogurt which is fabulous and very like the giant skyr tub which also disappeared
I still love this frozen sole!
I go to Aldi especially for it.
Possibly just out of stock in your store. Bought 2 pots earlier
Smoky bean and rice salad beside the coleslaw in my store.
Lovely - Lidl had a Smoky 3 bean salad last summer that hasn't reappeared yet this year but this is a great replacement..
Same. They are exception.
Thanks checked yday and they were back after a short hiatus!
These (salted caramel protein yogurts) are a hard recommend from me!
Crispy fried no beef strips from the freezer are surprisingly good with some stir fried veg & noodles.
The Langhams Cereal Free dry dog food has disappeared from my store. Anyone know if this is no longer going to be stocked ?
Do you use any sauce or spices?
I'd be thinking carrot strips, onion, peppers, maybe cauliflower, maybe sugar snap peas, maybe baby sweetcorn for the veg - what did you go for?
Onions, peppers, ginger, garlic, bean sprouts & noodles. Splash of soy sauce & the sachet of sweet chilli that comes with the strips.
