Did you recently collect a new car?
Another gripe is where you slot the card in order to start the car , it ends up sliding out and falling somewhere, shouldn’t have had a little tray to place it
would also prefer the wipers were on a lever
You a press left stalk in and it will activate wipers and bring up menu. Also can use voice control to turn on and off or increase or decrease speed (right scroll wheel)
Most are using mobiles to access car and will start automatically. If using the card you only need to tap and then you can put card away safe.
Use phone key —-> No card required. Or if you continue to use the card, once you start the car you can remove the card. No. We’d to leave it there while driving.
Wipers —-> Once you press the stalk to do a quick wiper, the left scroll button now becomes the controller so you can click it left or right to change the speed setting.
Just power, you can fit the following to get data back, took me about 10minutes to fit into my M3 (exact same piece of kit for the Y)

I know you can use voice control, I’d just prefer the old fashioned way, love the car overall
Yay, 2 euro in free supercharging!
Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick up a dark lane. 😁
Yeah I did. Can’t remember the exact charge but in the 40s percentage wise. I got 160km and not the 150 others are reporting. I didn’t receive any email tho. Just appeared and I have since claimed them 👌
Grab them and run 😃
I think Bord Gais mustn’t have set us up on the cheapest plan for charging?, we never turn on the home charger until around 11.30pm and yet the Tesla app is showing a cost of €0.30 per KW spent on home charging this past month
Mother a Gad.
The Tesla App doesn't know the unit price of your electricity. It only knows the price at a Tesla Supercharger.
You have to input the price you pay at home. It's in the settings part of the Charge Stats on app.
My Tesla app says the cost per KW at a supercharger is €0.62 and €0.30 at home ?
That's correct probably for the Supercharger but you must input your correct day/night rates and times for the App to be accurate
You input the home charge rate yourself.
Go with toll tag, no monthly fee and reductions are instant. Had one for 4 years on 3 different EVs without issue.
Same here.
we never turn on the home charger until around 11.30pm and
just in case… you do realise that if you are on a day/night tariff that night rate doesn’t start until approx midnight during summertime?
Anyone know any place to buy rubber mats for Model Y?
appreciate any help
One option: Indoor PVC floor mats for Tesla Model Y (greendrive-accessories.com)
You'll enjoy browsing Green Drive in general.
Chinese options (fitting as the Model Y is Chinese):
Got my 231 Ioniq valued there today, would be 6.8k to upgrade to the Model Y RWD in Blue. Very tempted to go with it after test driving the Y over the weekend. I dunno if I would be mad to trade in the Ioniq for the Y after only owning it for 4 months.
What spec ioniq can I ask
Executive plus
I sold my 231 Ioniq5 and got the blue model y last week .
cost me 5.5k and I very happy I did
Ioniq 5 not a patch on the Model Y so I'm not surprised folks are moving, especially from basic trims like EP.
What's people's real world experience like using Tesla Vision park assist? Video reviews aren't encouraging. I have a model Y on order and it's the one thing that's making me wonder whether I'm doing the right thing.
Try looking on it as an “aid” to assist with parking. Works reasonably well and you have rear camera which covers a lot.
With all the other fantastic features and competitive pricing versus anything else in the market If this is an area of focus that makes you question your choice ..maybe the car is not for you. You can find others that will have US sensors but will they compare well on all the other elements. Give it some thought
Thanks. Just seems a shame to take such a big step backwards when everything else is so progressive. Ultimately I've picked the Y over the Ioniq 5 for the space, range and performance but the 360 degree setup in the Hyundai was very impressive.
