A day late but here is a new thread for the new season!
What are everyone’s predictions?
Thread title changed for new season
The most insecure man in NBA history. Durant isn't even in the same solar system.
Jokic is without question - you're looking at a 2 time MVP and would likely have been 3 in a row had he cared enough about individual awards to go and win it.
Jury is somewhat out on Murray post knee injury but Denver have homecourt in the West all the way to the Conf. Finals and that's an advantage in itself. Bubble Murray was on fire don't forget, and he mostly kept that up until he got injured in the following season. He's a little hot and cold at the moment, but is still a quality player.
I'm sorry but I know Lloyd online for a long time. We don't agree much but he's ridiculously good at English.
You've put it up to him now, if he starts he'll embarrass you.
You just don't know until it happens or doesn't happen. I think they are good enough. Murray has improved in every category in the playoffs year by year. Jokic is really consistent at a very high level.
It's the other players like Porter and Caldwell-Pope etc. who will decide how well they do.
It’s all good EE. Butters will relax and enjoy the conversation a bit more once LeBron and the Lakers get eliminated (probably) in the next round.
The playoffs have been great thus far, and that’s what we’re all here to enjoy together! Every semi final slate is delicious, assuming each of the 8 teams can avoid key injuries. That’s what it’s all about.
Well look, they went out of their way to say they had no respect for him. And he beat their brains out, particularly Brooks who he took key buckets off until they switched him with Tillman.
This isn’t insecurity, it’s a warrior holding the heart of his defeated foe aloft.
If Jordan took souls after being called out like this everyone would love it, and rightly so.
The Grizzlies got owned, and they’ll just have to eat it.
Also, here’s the inspiring tune for LeBron’s tweet if you’re wondering, set to some delicious footage:

Agreed. It’s such an epic tie.
Jordan would post a picture of a dead bear. No comment, no caption, nothing...just a picture of a dead bear.
Not some corny, sanitised, lyrics.
It’s JayZ man, it’s a classic
Jokic is an absolute joke.
Ok, well, Jordan would have posted this BEFORE the game.
"If you ever see me fighting in a forest with a grizzly bear, HELP THE BEAR!, coz that bitch gonna need it!".
LeBron posts bollocks when stuff is done.
Look man, LeBron went over to Brooks before game 3 infront of the world and said something that didn’t look very friendly. It just makes sense to not get into a war or words in the media during a series. Give your opponents nothing to feed off, bring it on the court, celebrate after.
I just think the tweet is hilarious, honestly
What a Sunday evening we have ahead of us, gents. Put a few beers in the fridge :)
Regardless of how you feel about LeBron's tweets Kevin Durant literally made burner accounts so he could talk shît about his former teammates, NOTHING is more pathetic and insecure than that imo.
He also interacts with a whole lot of posts that don't even have him tagged, meaning he's most likely constantly searching his own name. KD genuinely comes across as the most unhappy man in sports at times.
I do enjoy KD hitting back at Chuck at times.
Makes for good content, and it makes sense too because I'd imagine Shaq would 100% be the same way as KD if he played in the social media era.
Domin-ayton as he likes to call himself was absolutely destroyed last night. Very dirty foul by Paul towards the end of the game. Phoenix looked gassed.
Yeah I’m really excited for the game 7. Can’t call it at all
I can’t see Phoenix winning a long series given how thin their rotation is. They need game 2 and then try and hold their home games. If this runs 6 or 7 they’ll pay.
Nuggets were very impressive last night, everybody played their part. If they keep playing like that they'll win it all I think.
Was only thinking recently about how underwhelming his career has been so far, Doncic going 3rd in that draft seems even crazier
Lol, you think?
Jesus mark this date in history! A post from LuckyLloyd not licking LeBron’s h0le! Wow!
This has to be the funniest post on this thread - and that’s saying something.
You are using “delicious” as much and as incorrectly as Ryan Tubridy now. Well done!
The fact you haven’t named Gordon there shows your basketball knowledge is up there with your command of the English language (if you think your super friend’s proficiency in the language would embarrass me, yours must be appalling). Gordon was widely considered an unlucky All Star omission this year and is undoubtedly their 3rd best player - and is their No. 1 defensive option. You’ve probably only seen him in Uncle Drew though, right? And note: that’s not a documentary either.
Miami are dangerous, really battle hardened team with a bball iq that's through the roof. Lowry was absolutely immemse.
I don’t even need to comment on this.
I think that if the Kings lose this series it will be because of their questionable decision making and missed free throws that is probably down to inexperience in the play offs. I think a more experienced team would punish the warriors more.
It’s part of the growing/learning process - GS lost a few series before they won it all.
Home court in a G7 is a massive advantage in itself. It’s a strange one in that I wouldn’t be surprised with either result, but the character the Kings showed in G6 after what must have been an emotionally crushing loss in G5 was immense. I’d slightly favour the Kings tonight but wouldn’t be surprised with a GS win either given their history.
