Ordered one from inventory. No vin. No EDD. I got both straight away when I ordered from fire sale.
Same for me. No EDD and no VIN.

I am still having trouble logging to motortax.ie with my Reg and last 6 digits of my vin number. Reg has been issued today afternoon. Should it take this much time? any inputs appreciated :)

Weirdly I ordered a white one earlier which gave EDD straight away
I ordered a black one there (would prefer black) and same, no EDD.
I'd imagine it will be sorted tmw.
My original orders from January have suddenly been assigned dates also (end May to early June).
I better hope they stick to their deposit refund policy or I'm going to have a lot of Model Ys in the near future:)
Hopefully the saga/madness will be over soon and we'll all just have the cars we wanted
Just checked Inventory, why are some of the M3 cars cheaper than they are to order normally? Also it mentions 'Coming soon', what time-frame does that usually mean?
I don't think any of them are cheaper than normal. Right now in the inventory the only discounted cars were the demo/showroom cars. If you check the configurator (aka the design page) for the normal price, make sure you select to pay in cash down on the bottom and it will show the actual final total price. The price you see where the website lists the 3 models on the right side (RWD, LR, Performance) is before a bunch of taxes and grants (VRT, SEAI grant, VRT relief etc).

Yeah, don't worry about the road tax right away. If you collect before the end of April, you will have to pay for the whole month anyway. It's normally available on the system the day after you get the reg no.
I could only tax on Tuesday and got reg Monday so give it 24hrs
Still waiting for a VIN? Hang in there. I had 3 orders and all got VINs today (one just now): MYLR white/white from Jan, M3P from when the price dropped, and M3LR (white interior) from the price drop as well. Wanted to choose based on which got a VIN first, but now all have one. Can't decide between M3 Performance advantage, M3 LR for the white interior, or MYLR for space.

Do you have to tax from the date of first registration or can you start with May if you leave it until next week ?
Date of first registration. Been that way since the introduction of motor tax on any other car in Ireland.
Makes sense. It’s the same with used cars that are untaxed. Once you transfer ownership you are liable for road tax from the date of transfer.
From the first day of the month of transfer
I looked at quite a few second hand M3 before deciding on a new Y. Honestly the sense of space in the Y is something else. There’s also literally so much space in the cabin and boot too.
The rear seats in the 3 really bugged me, they’re quite uncomfortable for any adult but the Y is greatly improved.
Its all personal preference, I’d been driving a Peugeot 3008 and an ID4 so I was very used to the SUV size and space.

I’m 5 weeks waiting for a deposit to be refunded, went to Sandyford twice and had 3 web chats all confirming I’d get it. Still no luck, anyone else having the same issue.
Also if you’re asked did you have a test drive, the answer is no. This seems to be way to deny a refund!
Yes, still waiting on 2 deposits after 3 Kelly emails, 2 web chats and 1 Sandyford visit. As well as another €52,286.
Time for a solicitors letter by registered post to Tesla UK to move that along.
How’s Collection week going for people. I am collecting tomorrow AM. Any issues people have seen they had to report when inspecting the car before sign off
Was going to ask following @BK1975 post, would be nice to hear from people picking them up. Even how long process is, how many people up there, etc. I'm getting mine next week.
Just a quick update after much waiting and emails finally got my full refund this morning.
now to start paying of my new car.
Fully agree with this. I initially assumed that I wanted a 3 but after test driving both, went for the Y, because of comfort and spaces, especially in the back.
Another decider was I am in London a lot and get a lot of Ubers to/from airport. I always pick the electric model and my least favorite car to sit in the back of is the 3. I find it terrible.
I've four older and tall kids 15-20, and there just would not be comfortable on long trips
why are they cheaper?

Me too. I'd like to think it was because I threatened them yesterday that I would go in today and go full Bobby Sands. But more likely it was going to be refunded today anyway.
