AI to Catch Drivers.

Reckon most people will be against it because it will make it harder to escape a fine,but those speed vans are a joke, everyone slows to a crawl. Maybe equip them with ANPR as well,free up Garda time on traffic stops. It would give photographic proof of phone use also rather than a Guards say so.

Would definitely focus minds IMO.

At the moment car users get rewarded by insurance discounts by good driving(no claims bonus), some can now have a monitor installed in a car to even further reduce it, a kind of AI device :-)

If they can't drive to work they can take a bus/train/walk/cycle. They got banned for breaking the law and that comes with repercussion, next time they are allowed on the road they will drive with care

People not deciding to drive anymore is actually excellent, we need to reduce cars on the road. This will make it easier for other road users to get around. That would be a massive massive win

Well, it depends. Normally, there is no discount for not having points, there is a loading for having. But if you normally have points, that time when you have none at renewal feels like a discount :) There is no reward for good behavior, where good behavior means not breaking the law (or not getting caught). The reward is the lack of punishment, and that's it.
