You're arguing with someone who wants a coup to occur in the states and believes it's a conspiracy if it doesn't happen, you're not going to get something more coherent back, it's all going to be about how bad the west is, that russian is a victim or at least only as bad and thus what they're doing is justified.

The Ukrainians have captured a large area of marshland that the Russians did not attempt to hold in the first place - because it has little strategic value.
They basically got a few lads in boats who went over and stuck a flag up. They cannot get heavy vehicles through that way and will get torn to pieces by artillery if they try to advance toward Russian defences.

The Ukrainian leadership is not remotely the same as Russia's. Ukraine is democratic, Russia is totalitarian. Ukraine has political opposition, Russia has none. Ukraine isn't run by a dictator trying to rebuild an empire, Russia is. Ukraine isn't invading a country, Russia is. Ukraine isn't any threat to it's neighbours, Russia is. These are polar opposite nations, yet you lazily class them as "the same" because a) your posts demonstrate you have similar views to Putin on the West and b) engage in history reductionism and black/white thinking.

That's how they frame and validate all their actions. They invade a country and slaughter civilians? They point out that in history other countries have done this. The equivalent of murdering someone and then saying "so what, other murders have happened".

I'd love to be wrong but I don't think Ukraine will make any serious moves from Kherson. They're likely just threatening so Russia have to keep more then a skeleton crew there and a few artillery units.
Not to slip trough sabotage groups and spec ops teams,and for what we know it could be a diversion making Russians move more troops there to split them up on several fronts,like they did in their first offensive

The soldiers attempted to land on the left bank of the Dnipro River, crossing a stretch of river nearly three miles (4.8 km) wide but were unsuccessful.
The idea was to launch an infantry-only battle, as the Ukrainians were sure that Russia would not respond with artillery, fearing a catastrophe at a nuclear plant. Battle-hardened soldiers from Ukraine’s elite units, including Ukraine’s military intelligence, GUR, and including the Shaman battalion, the Kraken Regiment, and the Ukrainian Foreign Legion were drawn for the operation. They did not expect the resistance that Russia put up at the nuclear plant: the defense was dense and everything was mined, and the Ukrainians were fired at from tanks and artillery.
I said it last year and I will say it again. Landing troops on the opposite side of the river bank without heavy weapons support and supply lines that can be easily spotted and targeted is a terrible idea.

Here's a recent example of the Left's poor grasp of history. It's a video from Dublin Trans & Intersex Pride recently. Note the USSR flag with the Trans colours attached. Also note somebody carrying a picture of Lenin. If these people had a grasp of history they would have known the Communist states had an appalling record against LGBQT+ people.

Satellite images show extensive fortifications built up in the left bank of the dnieper on high ground - the russians obviously realised there was no sense in trying to defend the marshy lowlands when they could cover all that area from up high.

Nope,its perfect for a crossing,since the Russian defence lines are weaker there,and its perfect for sending sabotage and spec ops team across to cause havoc furter east and south before the main offensive.
Because they likely didn't have them. I don't think it was operational before March this year. It was announced in 2019 but it's likely taken till now to get it to work and to manufacture them.

Nobody wants Putin not too see the inside of a jail cell after a Hague trial but if we are honest with each other the chances of that are minimal, maybe 5% at a push.
I'll be honest i haven't really been following the war since last summer so maybe im mistaken but i just don't see the will being there from the west to give Ukraine what it needs to win this thing (where are the jets) so i can only see some sort of negotiated peace at some stage myself. If that makes me a Russian Nazi putinbot or whatever then i guess it is what it is.
