Are they trying to do some high level "Bren secretly wants to die but can't do it himself" story, because none of his decisions make sense for his well being. Even knackers like him have a built in desperate need to survive.
I can't give my opinion on the pharmacist character without being terribly unkind.
Respect to Maria Doyle Kennedy who is playing a blinder...the final scene last night where Mikey got out of the car to her..her expression was sublime acting...

It's not really a burner if it's Kems number. And doubtful they could track it exactly to the pub anyway, more likely just between two cell towers.
A drug dealer/enforcer not having a pin code on his phone is laughable though.
Maybe she is doing it to annoy her dad, has low self esteem, is too shy/scared to run depending on what she has heard about him already. Could be that she thinks she can tease him without consequence.
The more I watch it the more my spidies tell me birdy is Vikings bio mum.

It has been hinted at, Eamon in the first season called them a bunch of inbreds (mentioned as well earlier in this discussion , I had forgotten) seeing as he had some fling /relationship with Birdie in an earlier life, he may have been privy to private information, so i wouldn't be surprised if he is. She is always giving Nikita advice as well regarding Viking.
They aren't giving Aiden Gillen much to do this season apart from getting stoned and going to mass.
Viking being Frank's son has always been a mystery to me, as Frank is as straight as a circle. But I don't think she's Viking's mother. I feel she's just giving Nikita advice because she feels bad for her and knows what it's like being a woman in that world. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if Mikey is Birdy's son. She's always been the first one to pipe up about Mikey and his welfare. She isn't like that with Viking or Jimmy, but she's particularly close to Mikey.

you could be right but i think there is more to it....first of all she knows exactly who he is, and what he dose, Most smart women wont hang around putting their life in danger unless there is a good reason.
I mostly was thinking that bren and birdy were bio parents and family lore accepted him as frank's child to cover it up.
I think she is uc police, just something in the way she was asking probing q's and I saw someone use a student to do a task of some kind as he was a new face to the business.
Seems a bit unlikely that she'd be working as a pharmacist if she's police! How would they know he'd use that pharmacy when she's there and that he'd take a shine to her? He only started thinking about dating when Jimmy was having a go at him for, implicitly, saving himself for Amanda. I think she's just a standard love interest who will probably wind up in danger at some point.
she said she knows who he is and what he does because of what she's read online and in the newspaper. He accepted that from her so all the info about him is obviously available easily.
Look, nothing would surprise me with this show so she might turn out to be undercover but I don't see it happening.

Viking acts more like Bren's son than Frank's, but Viking doesn't really look like Bren. Don't get me wrong, it's a tv show and they don't always cast family members who look alike, but you compare Jimmy and Mikey with Bren, and they definitely look like they could be related. But Viking also doesn't look like Frank, so maybe he's adopted or something.
The casting and story lines in this series are taking dramatic licence to extremes.
