10K is max daily limit for online banking transfers.. Any amount can be paid by doing it through your branch so if in doubt ..call in. I am not sure what you expected but be carful of any delays ...your timeline is short.
AIB will transfer to tesla the same day (3 hours for me) once you get the transaction done before 1pm in branch. Did it earlier. No issues and no cost.
bring your bank card and ID. They give you a form and it’s all very straightforward.

just to say anyone who got their reg like me yesterday I was able to tax the car this morning and insurance also done
Anyone on update on this "ghost" delivery date, still showing up in my app as Friday the 5th even after the "mistake" text afterwards. On hold at the moment but will have to go soon and cant see myself getting through anytime soon.
With regards to insurance and the 'security' option would 'tracking device and alarm' be appropriate? It won't have an immobiliser as such.

I asked a person on chat today and they confirmed that my pickup is the 5th -- and they sent through a confirmation text that Friday was confirmed.
With the Grand Champion approaching Suez canal and my hope is that I will get a VIN while it's moving through the canal. Can I take it if I don't get one during it's journey through the canal my car is not on that boat?
So got through to a chap called Fez in UK, he seems to suggest that the second text was sent in error, my car is due in early next week and the 5th of May seems reasonable to pick it up and suggested to start paying for it from Thursday if still showing up in my app for collection.
It really is a different world with this lot !

Some of us got texts yesterday evening saying that our slots were sent and made available in error shortly after we were given links to book.
I'm onto Eddy at the moment and he confirmed that the slots sent yesterday afternoon for next week or so were sent in error.
No other information other than the delivery team will reach out closer to the time
Dont presume that ...it has nothing to do with geography, its not as though Suez has any significance other that VIN's have normally been allocated by Tesla when cars are in transit and this has up to recently been about two weeks into a 4 week journey which might approximate to a location close to Suez. Tesla will allocate Vins when they are certain about delivery . However because of pricing reductions there are many who have multiple orders, the intention being to only take 1, so it ks likely there will be cancelations and Vins could be allocated right up to delivery as time resolves uncertainty . Keep checking for hidden VIN on your account.
Has anyone the link to find hidden vin while using a smart phone. There was one here previously (back around page 55 or so).
My laptop packed it in so stuck with using my phone.
Surely the pin to drive is similar to an immobiliser? (If you have it enabled)
Don’t think anybody has gotten a VIN recently beyond those who were on the boat already docked from UK leftover stock.
On that basis I’d say it’s almost certain the Grand Champion does not have any Irish cars on it. Early in quarter yet, likely the Q2 boat hasn’t left Shanghai yet
I got the "Tesla Action Required" text yesterday at 16:55, picked my slot shortly after, then at 18:31 got the "The previous SMS was sent in error".
However the slot still shows in my account, and I got a "You appointment is now confirmed for 15:30 5 May 2023 at Dublin, DKH76 ..." after I was on chat with Tesla today.
I've learnt that the people on chat will basically just say anything, so I wouldn't be surprised if the slot gets cancelled
Yep it's comical really. I was also told that the people preparing the cars don't have phones so they can't talk to you 😂.
I asked for a call back from Sandyford and was told I'd receive an update by SMS, email or phone.

Given that it takes 4 weeks to get to Europe and the additional time to move the cars to Ireland anybody with Apr-June timelines would be pushing it if not on the Grand Champion or another boat already on route.

They try to time it as late as possible in the quarter. Grand Champion will be in Zeebruge fairly soon. Tesla Ireland not expecting next delivery of cars until June. Add in that nobody has VINs except cars already docked in Dublin means it’s 99% not Grand Champion.
But agreed, it would need to be leaving soon or have left in last few days.
I think according that Mr Miserable guy last boat for UK leaves usually leaves on 18th of the month before quarter end. For us maybe a week or two earlier than that I guess.
Hopefully I am wrong but really think if it was Grand Champion there would have been a flurry of people on here posting they had received VINs.
Got through to Eddy and was informed it was best to wait until contact has been made regarding delivery and ignore the fact the 5th of May is still appearing on app. He had no idea (surprisingly) when I could expect delivery arrangement.
The tracking wouldn't qualify as an insurance approved tracking device per most of their terms of business so I wouldn't include that in the proposal. There's minimal, if any, saving so if it's included then you risk the insurer not paying out on a claim.
I was chatting to Houssan, he said he sent a request to the IE registrations team and once my reg is generated I'll get the SMS. So now... I wait
I got to sell my old car with Kearys / webuycars.ie (Big shout out for a fair deal to Shane O'Kelly in Cork). I'm scheduled to collect my MY Thursday morning at 10:30. I've got a lift to Dublin a bit too early; I could end up being there at 08:30. Is there any chance I'll be left in to wait or be allowed to collect early? Otherwise any recommendations for a 2hr breakfast near the Vehicle Collection Hub 🤩
get dropped off at Avoca you can get fed there, or you can go to 'The Address' hotel in Kingswood get breakfast there as well. so you dont have to stand there waiting, you could walk into Rathcoole or Saggart or up to the Citywest SC too..i live and work in citywest so u will be grand
