Great offer. Remember to put a reminder in your calendar to cancel before the 12-months expire.
Edit: Suggest using PayPal to pay because the Times website currently has some issues with card payments.
I've emailed them there now to see if I can cancel, I had to laugh they have help@thetimes.ie as a contact address on their site - mails to that bounce.
Called today to cancel as 5 for 12 months contract ending in 2 weeks.. found them very frustrating to deal with..couldn't find me with address or email or name.. I had to call back with account number . Called back and cut off twice . Finally got it cancelled and then received email saying cancelled in 30 days.. no where does it state this when signing up and now no idea how much I'll be charged between end of contract in 2 weeks and cancellation date
Thanks for the detail. Just checked minem it's up in 5 weeks😃
If you pay your subscription via Revolut, it's very easy to block future transactions to a specific retailer. If not, then you could change to paying via Revolut now.
It was PayPal unfortunately.. found original email and post subscription monthly fee is 10 euro month so I'd only be charged 5 or so.. bit annoyed as that was cost for year.. emailed them to explain issue as nothing in original email stating 30 days notice required .. they called me to apologise and confirm no charge and it will end as per subscription in 2 weeks
For future reference, you can cancel billing agreements from your PayPal account.
I just phoned to cancel my 1ecper month.
Was offered 5€ for 12 months as a one off payment.
€5 for 12 months available over the weekend.
Thanks
Cheers for that, I just subbed for the year.
I just re-subscribed for €5 for 12 months. Have they got rid of the Irish content? Just seems to be the UK e-paper available anyway.
Irish content is Sunday paper only.
The Times of London - Subscribe - €5 for 12months back again
What exactly does this sub get you?
I think somebody said you can’t use the IT app, so is it just like you can read it on your phone or iPad?
This thread is for the The Times UK.
Irish times is a completely separate product.
But to answer your question - its states very clearly on your link "Unlimited access to IrishTimes.com + iOS & Android news apps".
Ah my bad , I got this confused with the Irish thread.
Easy done. Also both have very similar typefonts which would make them appear to be linked.
5 EUR for a year offer still on ...
Best deal I could get was The Times and Sunday Times (€1 per month for 12 months)
5 EUR for 12 months is back.
My subscription was expiring next week so I rang them and they allowed me to renew it for another year for a fiver. It would have auto renewed at €10 per month if I hadn't done anything.
I completely forgot my cheap €5 annual sub I took out a year ago was due up for renewal at full price on Wednesday until I saw this thread pop up again great timing
I paid my sub using a revolut disposable card. Interesting to see what happens with sub up next week.
It'll try to renew and fail, and that will be that.
Whats the phone number to call and cancel?
I just rang them on this number this morning 1800 94 96 87. The Cancellations Department was option 3 I think.
They cancelled my current subscription & put me on the €5 for 12 months deal. Definitely worth a fiver!
I rang to cancel last week and they offered 12 months for 5euro, so I took it. However this morning, they took 10 euro from my account as if I hadn't changed plan.
Anyone else the same?
Is this offer gone now? Seems to be offering 2 euro a month for first four months now.
The offer comes and goes. I would guess that'll be back again at some stage.
Randomly got offered 1 pound a month for 12 months when on the sign up page yesterday. Not sure why but grabbed it immediately.
