Got it, it was Croupier
Hi. Does anyone know the name of this? It's a clip from the film, The Unbelievable Truth (1989).
Alternatively, there's this link: https://vocaroo.com/19VvQNPnSxTj
Argh!!!
Italian or Spanish song Lyrics I recall " MONARA Woah Woah Woah"
Monara may not be correct, for some reason I think it s 60s/70s possibly a ratpack song?
Obs doing my head in it.
Volare?
Thats the one
The new St Pats keeper gonna love that lol
Watching Anatomy of Scandal with the missus last night and at the end of the 3rd episode there's a cover of Wise Up, an Aimee Mann song. Poor auld Shazam didn't have a clue and searching Spotify/YouTube hasn't thrown anything up.
Any ideas?
Don't know, but several sites say it's Aimee Mann on the soundtrack, and there's a suggestion here on Twitter of the person covering it, it might help you find it?
Hi there , just wondering if anyone can remember the name of the group who sang this song and also the title. I think it’s an Irish group .
I’ll always love you, I’ll stay by your side. I won’t hurt you , I won’t make you cry.
when tomorrow comes, when our youth has gone, I’ll still love you with a love that’s kind , yet strong
and oh oh how I know I love you so ………
I ve tried entering the lyrics in Google etc but no joy .
Yonaka apparently!
Thank you so much for replying. I really appreciate it.
Hi Guys had luck when you pointed me to Johnny Duhan years ago ! I now remember another song which was on RTE in the eighties . The text line I remember was: the flies are worse today think it must be all the rain the tab won't stop tripping.... smash a glass
It is an Irish band Minor Detail
The song is called I'll Always Love You

Hey folks,
Looking for a song released around 4 or 5 years ago. Solo female singing soul/ gospel song with a dance track in the background.
The video had dancers in 1980s fitness gear dancing around a police station I think.
This is in my head becasue I was scrolling Amazon Music earlier although I don’t know why this song in particular but the few lyrics I remember are rattling around in my head.
A few weeks ago I was waking home and picked a random playlist of acoustic songs. I’m pretty it was called Acoustic Chill.
The singer was having the “worst day of his life” (not sure if that is how he phrased it exactly) when he saw the girl coming “down the stairs”.
I doubt this is enough information for an answer but this is all I have.

Any chance it's that? Maybe you misheard the lyrics :P
No that isn’t it but I do think that I have the lyrics wrong (other than the woman coming down the stairs - which I certain of) so I doubt very much that I will find the song.
Thanks for the contribution though :)
It was How Love Begins by DJ Fresh and High Contrast.
I have had a snippet of a song stuck in my head for a few weeks now.
Extensive googling has got me nowhere so I am throwing myself at the mercy of the boardsies
it goes something like this
”how do I need you, let me explain, I need you like the flowers need the pouring rain”
it may be love not need. Sung in uptempo pop style
"i need you" by america?
Thanks, that’s not it though
Long shot, but Everything But The Girl - Missing?
"And I miss you
Oh-oh (Like the deserts miss the rain)
And I miss you, yeah (Like the deserts miss the rain)
And I miss you"
Also, Sade did a version:
edit ..sorry found it
There was a cover of Disclosure / Sam Smith - Latch played in Episode 6 of the RTE series The Dry.
Just wondering if anyone knows of what the exact version is?
EDIT: found it just after posting this!
I vaguely recall this song that sounded like it was sung by a woman and bears some similarity to the Heathers (the McNamara sisters) song, "Waiter", in that it goes like this:
Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah, Uh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh, Ah Ah Uh Oh Oh Oh ....
Lisa Hannigan, What'll I do?
No. I'm thinking of a song older than hers and possibly not Irish.
I have a tune in my head, I think it could be an 1980s Irish song.
Lyrics are something like this (I have googled with no luck)
"and how far will it go-forever
casue what I want to know is who made it in the first place, cause that would take me forever"
Help please
The Golden Horde - 100 Boys
Released 1989
Sans Moi – Franglish, Aya Nakamura
Trying to ID a song I heard a long time ago and never again since, I had it in my head it was Shane MacGowan/The Pogues, but any search I tried for it never turned up anything.
The lyrics are something along the lines of "And this is for allll the young kids, who have no place to go, and this is for all the something something"
Any help appreciated :)
