Anyone subscribe to this? The website is fairly poor but it seems like you can't watch many games, but does have the facility to watch old All Ireland Finals which i'd be interested in.
Yes my phone gives the very unhelpful "sorry an unknown error has occurred" message and my TV and fire stick are hanging for a minute then saying "Sorry, we are having trouble retrieving your details at the moment, please try again later" which is funny because I haven't had an option to input details yet
Very apologetic in fairness
Is anyone having trouble logging in to GAAGO? Mobile Android app and Android TV app both not working for me right now
Has anybody tried sharing GAAgo stream via zoom/teams/fb screen sharing features? Thinking of getting a few lads involved and splitting the cost
Sounds like Now tv, if you've a dish it's much cheaper, had it for a tenner, now 20e for the next 12 months.
Day pass for Sky Sports is €12. 1 month is €39.
There was 8 matches on URCtv, I only watched one of them, on TG4 I'd wonder if these streaming services are for me or if I should just go to the pub to save money 🤣🤣🤣
Thought their coverage today was pretty good.....better than I was expecting to be honest. 6 matches this weekend on it, not bad value
I suppose the flip side of that is that the Rugby/Soccer guarantees 36 or 18 games per team... The GAAgo service has 2 clare games but the other teams only feature once that I can tell...
The score/clock at the bottom of the screen is quite distracting.
God no
Does that mean it’s free if you have Apple TV?
It's off the screen for me so can only see the top of it, picture isn't hectic, not sure we're not getting 4k content in this day and age.
Thats certainly very good value for the LOI, anyway i think gaago is good value too, ive no issue paying it
aaaaand it's finally started
Pre-match coverage of Galway v Wexford is listed to start at 3.30... but it's 3.45 now and it still hasn't started...
That would suggest 40 games?
Compared to similar services for other sports
€75 for the URCtv season pass, 151 games + the rest of this season
€120 for the LOItv season pass, 180 games (advertised as 400+ games but I'm not so sure, fairly sure there's 36 rounds and 10 teams so 5 games per round which would make 180 games)
Interestingly RTE are behind the GAA and URC services so our license fee money being used as well possibly (not sure about who runs the soccer one)
How much taxpayers money, whats it for and how much do you think they should receive? And what ahs that got to do with gaago anyway?
wtf is wrong with the clock/score feature? At one stage it was showing 70 mins and the score 0-00 to 0-00, then disappeared during injury time.
Thats nothing to do with it, sky pulled out
its €79 for a season pass, €2 a game
When the games where on sky people were giving out, this is the result.
No
Got it sorted, app wouldn't work had to go onto the website. 3 for 2 offer on the games 8 quid a game.
Thats an issue with your bank though is it not?
Getting transaction declined all morning for the Galway and Clare games!
I'd seriously doubt it as its a possible job for him down the line.
Theres 9 live senior championship games on this weekend between GAAgo exclusive and RTE/BBC, not sure if thats a record but I cant remember anything like it.
Thats 6 games on GAAgo and 3 with the traditional broadcasters, and also a first in recent history, parallel games on RTE/BBC plus RTE/GAAgo.
Last year had BBC showing full delayed games "as live" later in the evening but now they are proper live.
I have to agree on the streaming quality though. You can see that for interviews etc its crystal clear but once theres movement its not great.
EDIT: I now see that they have announced their commentators and whatnot.
Also mentioned: "GAAGO is also now available on Amazon Fire Stick, ROKU, and Apple TV, while the development and rollout of smart TV apps is in planning for later in the season."
Its not on the Samsung tv yet BUT the built in browser can deal with the GAAGO website so is a handy enough workaround. Forwarding and rewinding works well, which cant be said for casting from an iPhone which was what we used to have to do.
Situation is pure daft. My oul lad has Sky but doesn't have a bull's notion how to work GAA Go. Lots of folk like him will be left scrambling now, paying a tenner a pop to try and watch it on a laptop when he was able to turn on his Sky and watch it or record.
Yeah but at least “the Brits” don’t have it. Let’s see if Michael Duignan will be on RTE complaining about that his elderly father not having access to the games now that it’s the GAA’s own paywall
If you log into your membership on foireann.ie there is a discount code that can be used on GAAGo
Can't wait to see the outrage when Kerry vs Mayo (for example) is behind the GAA Go paywall, like we had for Sky.
