What’s the story with contacting tesla Dublin? Tried 3 times today. No answer. I even waited for around 30 mins and just hung up. No answer to email or txt and Webchat appears to be gone for Irish customers.
going to the store isn’t an option? What else can I do?

It was saying that for me a few times last week also. But an hour later I'd get someone.

All I've read says pick up is straight forward...Could we collect Y at 1130, drop it to friends in Rathmines and make international flight at 1530?

Your a bit of a politician in your answers. Again if you got that treatment would you buy the car or a car from the dealer in the future.
I’m no politician, I already stated in my post that it wouldn’t stop me buying a car from them. Money talks.
I called the Dublin number earlier during lunch time. Waited just about 1 full hour before someone finally picked up (Not sure where it got patched to because the lady had a hint of American accent). Anyway, after some checking she did confirm that the refund was approved but not yet processed. I explained that if they don't get that back I will miss the collection deadline. She was typing as I was on the call and read out the message from the mail she is sending to the refund department to process it urgently on that basis. Hopefully now it will get to me by early next week.
I'd suggest you call into Tesla (if you have one close by) or get them on a phone and talk to a person, rather than waiting around for them to contact you. By the sound of it, lots were approved for a refund but it is just sitting there waiting to be clicked through by some paper pusher.

Very little contingency there. Once you go inside the M50 you're at the mercy of the traffic gods. Are ye away for long? I'd be more comfortable driving straight to the airport from Baldonnel and skipping Rathmines. There's a DC charger at the exit of Long Term Red. You could top up at that if the car had a low SOC before leaving it parked up. Turn off Sentry Mode.

For everyone that’s got or getting their MY LR in the coming weeks….what was/is the manufacture date on them…or is that something you know???
Side thought…
Ive a Black/Black MY LR on order (no vin yet) and I’m torn between sticking with the 19” Gemini and upgrading to the 20” induction…any info that would swing it either way??? (I’m aware of grant threshold and going over with anything outside standard…so other than this)

Better range on the Geminis, you're almost halving the range advantage of the LR over the RWD by switching to Inductions I think. You'd save loads then, by going with an RWD and buying a nice set of hubcaps for €200 on Ali.

Nope you stated in your post that way they treated her wouldn't stop you. If you got the same treatment you'd still buy the car..... Don't believe that for a second, you told Joe Duffy where to go for doing stuff like that 😜
I've read that some people turned up early for collection and were sometimes accommodated if that time slot wasn't too busy. If you decide to try and pick up the car the same day you're flying out, I'd definitely suggest you turn up early to try and give yourself as much time as possible to make your flight. Good luck! 😊
Went out to Tesla be honest couldn’t really tell me any different but that they know about the refund and it will happen agreed it was poor form.
When I told him I was away for the first week of may and couldn’t collect my car on the dates that were offered and ask for the end of April, he said absolutely no slots available and the best he could do was the 8th of may so he knew they had more time for the refund to go through.
So either the car was going to sit on my driveway for a week or a secure compound so kind of works out in fairness not there fault I’m going away.
I have waited since February so 2 and half weeks more won’t be too bad.
Possible, but I would not. Too much of a rush, would like to be at airport by 12:30 for a long haul flight. Can you reschedule to an earlier slot?
Do you know when usually VIN is assigned for new orders, not from inventory?

Do i understand correctly then that you won't lose your order if you're not able to pay in time due to Tesla not processing the refund?
My concern is/was that Telsa would cancel the order if full payment wasn't made X days before the scheduled collection date.
And I had the feeling this would be done by Tesla "Not Accountable to Anyone" Office and would be outside of Tesla Sandyford's control.

Nah he said the order would be ok and sure he was able to push mine out to the 8th because I’m away so the refund should well be cleared by then or either way I’m driving a Tesla out of baldonnell 😂😂
Who were you dealing with? In case I need to ask tomorrow for, "the lad who looked after wush yesterday".
Also getting the order pushed out by a few days mightn't be a bad thing if there's a possibility of a follow on price reduction after the US yesterday.
Just checking as I thought I would have got contacted today, have a M3 LR with vin for the April 19th to May 4th timeframe but no offer of slot yet, others still in the same boat out there ?
