Post all your Tesla Model 3 and Model Y EDD updates and other delivery related posts here please
Mod Note: Anyone posting a referral link outside the Tesla referral thread will have their link deleted
They do lose about 1% charge everyday so even if they managed to charge once I would say they are ok ?
On the 11th, Kelly told me 5-7 working days. Today is the 7th full working day after the 11th, so I'll be heading up tomorrow. If anyone else awaiting a refund wants to PM me their RN, I can pass them on to the Sandyford people in the highly unlikely event that Sandyford agree to contact Netherlands Head Office to try to expedite things.
Have you checked your VIN? Mine was made mid Feb not Jan
My fire sale vin was lower in number and according to tesla-info site that was Feb 8th. My current vin (just below 30xxx) according to tesla-info site est based on vin close to mine it’s around 10th Jan. Conflicting info really but in a general sense it’s still a couple of months since rolling out the front door of the factory.
Just got through on phone and lady there said refund had been authorised but not processed yet. (They still have money) she is going to see what can be done to possibly transfer of funds to new order in this instance and call back.
Hypothetically they should honour a price reduction all the way up until you sign the iPad at collection day. But that would mean a credit in your account.
IMO if I was happy with the present price I would forget about any further price reductions..
I was told 15 working days yesterday. They’re trying to arrange delivery of our other car but I’m just refusing to engage with them on it until they’ve refunded in full.
This seems to have suddenly spurred a bit of activity with a few emails on refund straight after delivery call. Couldn’t give a hoot about our money until it might mess with their delivery schedule and then it becomes a priority! Probably won’t take the car either way but using it to hasten refund seems to be working.
Quick question, Does Germany has lower prices than us or it's same for everyone across EU?
I wouldnt worry about this . Cars have to be driven for loading and unloading and will all arrive with charge Try your best to remain excited about your car and not worry about things that "might happen. With Sentry swjtched off cars will go into a deep sleep and will hold most of their charge
It appears to be lower but then again they don't have VRT like we do and the VAT on car sales in Germany is 19% compared to our 23%
I was explicitly told in person, and via email, that transferring funds to a different RN was impossible. If they do it for some people I'll be even more frustrated with the inconsistencies and ineptitude of Tesla staff and processes.
I’ve been told this can’t be done 100% and Yeltsin a refund. I first got the email on the 3rd of April and told it was processed on the 6th. Then I questioned it a few days later and was told it never happened to send my details again only to be told last Friday that it never happened again and again send my details. At first I didn’t mind but now I can’t pick a date because I don’t know and to make it worse in stress levels I’m away the first week of may.
they simply just don’t care and as said do not reply to emails or the texts. When I did get through on the phone it was the uk and it was like ground hog day all over again.
Has anyone else double checked their final invoice? Mines says the told cost of the car is 49320 including SEAI , delivery and all that. But my order agreement says 47972
Did you get any joy with your refund ?
The amount to pay, is the amount in the order agreement. Total cost of vehicle can be ignored really. That's the total amount, tyre fee, VRT and excluding SEAI grant.
I ended up with five "final" invoices last month... all with different amounts!
Nope. Just asked for a bank statement to confirm my details for the 4th time. I really hope their ineptitude leads them to process the refund multiple times. Seems very possible with this crowd.
I’ll be advising them to get in touch with my refund team in Guatemala who only communicate via Pigeon and take up to 56 weeks to process returns, only after confirming bank details a minimum of 5 times.
Thank feck it’s not just me don’t mean that in a bad way for you DataDude but this is exactly the problem so the next time you ring to ask about it they say that never happened please send us your details again.
I am still awaiting a refund of 22k from the firesale. I was told in an email on the 6th April that this was processed and would take 5-7 working days. We are now on day 9 and I have heard nothing or recieved anything. My delivery date for MY is the 3rd May so I reallly need that money in order to pay it off before collection.
I also received another email from the CCPC enforcement department who are assessing the case at the moment. They were looking for screenshots, order agreement, correspondance and asked would I be willing to make a statement should the case proceed to the next stage so at least the CCPC are looking into the case.
I got the CCPC email also and considering the refund mess I'll definitely be willing to make a statement.
Will ye still buy a Tesla after all that?
Just put a deposit down to order a MY black/black RWD. My expectation from looking at the thread is I'll either be waiting for the next shipment later this year or another shipment earlier next year, is that right?
If you ordered this you’d most likely take delivery in the next 3 weeks.

Oh definitely. Really looking forward to collecting the Tesla car and no longer having to deal with the Tesla company.
I hope you used a referral link!
You could get it before June based on possible cancellations or I’d be keeping an eye on the inventory a couple of times during the day and into the evening.
Yeah you will be waiting a long time for a stand RWD black/black. I've had one on my account since January and never got a VIN assigned. Doesn't look like much of that config is available.
Ok, I don't get it to be honest. Love the cars but I'll never own one after my buying experience.
Tis a bit like complaining about a politician but voting for them in the next election 😜
That analogy doesn’t work for me, the Tesla systems and processes are rubbish. It feels like they don’t value the customer experience when engaging with the organisation.
The technology and cars themselves appeal to a lot of people at an attractive price point. Once you buy the thing you’ll likely have very little interaction with the company again but get full value and enjoyment from your purchase.
Happens throughout the industry unfortunately. Doesn’t make it right. Only today a Hyundai customer who was promised their new Kona month after month has been told sorry, you’re not getting it in 2023. You’ll get it in 2024 and you’ll also have to pay the associated cost increase. She was strung along for months by the Hyundai dealer. She was posting about in on the FB group. Not only has she lost her current order, but current value of her car by the time a replacement from Hyundai or other will mean more loss. Rightly annoyed so she was.
That wouldn’t put me off buying a Hyundai though.
I completely understand, there've been times in the past where I've made similar decisions. Eg, Malev once insisted I check in a carry-on backpack that wasn't even close to oversize, I already had a suitcase in the hold and had no desire to travel heavy. Anyway, the thievin, robbin, b****ds at Budapest airport stole a nice pair of Oakleys I had in the bag. I reckon they were in cahoots with Malev and I never traveled with Malev again. But I had competitive alternatives to Malev: KLM, Lufthansa. I don't see the same viable alternatives to the MY right now and by not buying, I'd be only cutting off my nose to spite my face. As the mammy would say. Also happy to say that Malev subsequently went bust. No doubt due to my lack of custom.
