I've a 5yr old daughter. I know the logically I should be aghast at everything done so far, but watching my daughter playing with her siblings outside and then reading this just really brought the full weight of how disgusting an action this is. Jesus christ you would have to be an animal to put a bullet in a 5yr old girl.
I have felt fleeting pity for some of the mobilised Russians, but this really has burned away any thoughts of dealing with humans. Truly the world would be better off without these people

They say this every so often for public consumption but have not done anything concrete (as far as I am aware).
The war is going on for 1 year now, long enough for them to actually act beyond the odd bit of empty rhetoric.
The leadership of both still agree 100 % on their approach to the EU and on general direction of their countries (establishing de facto one party rule with a "managed" democracy that always produces the "correct" outcome in elections combined with open corruption in business etc. where "friends" are favoured by the state - Orbán/Fidesz has just been much more succesful and is much further down the same path).
They will continue to work together to prevent any serious action from the EU institutions or the Council against each other that could damage them at home, and possibly see them lose power. That is the more important thing for the Polish Law and Justice party, far more important than the fate of Ukraine.
They think they can thread the needle where their ally (on all issues bar Ukraine) now openly acting as Putin's catspaw inside the EU and NATO won't really affect Ukraine war too badly, or at least not so badly that Polish electorate starts to notice it!!
