Tesla website saying Model 3 deliveries if you order now are April-June. Assuming the ship is going to be sent soon... Can we expect that to move further into the year in the coming days?
Different question- Sold my car in February in anticipation of delivery of new Tesla in Feb-March window.
No sign of Tesla so does anyone know if you can pause your car insurance while waiting for delivery of next car which could be as far away as June? Seems no point insuring a car I don't own anymore.

Can you get a banger. Something from the scrapper to transfer to to keep the policy live.
Yes this is possible . I have been through this process.....the Insurer pauses the policy and when it is reinstated for new car a refund for the paused period is provided for in my case 70% of the associated value. this may be specific to different Insurers but it worked for me.
I'd be careful before I call the insurance company and tell them I've no car, in the same boat and was going to ask them if there was any difference in RWD and LR but thought better of it.

Haven't looked for a quote either - currently have a Y LR on order and don't want them to spoil it any further 😶
I have a banger on wife's policy for now - so happy to leave my policy as is - i.e. don't report sale of car but thought if there was an option to pause and restart when new car delivered seems logical to do so - essentially extended the policy - but suspect insurance companies don't think like we do!!!

For those with an EDD of April 19th - May 4th, are we half expecting some communication this week from Tesla about scheduling collection.
Some folks have reported that Tesla in Dublin mentioned a boat is due around April18th? (Take with a pinch of salt I know..)
Just onto the webchat. Ayeshah telling me that
"The IE team will be in touch this week to arrange a collection date"
"It will be ready from the 26th April"

Those dates have probably slipped and they just haven’t told anyone yet. If you have a VIN you might be able to check what boat your car is on.

I never had to use anything more formal than "distance selling regulations" but here's a couple of lines I had saved from someone else just in case.
"When I placed the order it clear states on the order page non- refundable for order cancellations,except when statutory cancellation rights apply.As this purchase agreement was entered into mean of distance communication with refund.This is also stated on page 5 of the order agreement entitled Region specific provision."
Cheers I am waiting on a call back from Shane, just to confirm the payment details on my Tesla account does not include the SEAI grant..just looking for peace of mind on that point from him

Was just onto Telsa chat "Dimitrie" informed me my MY (I have a VIN) arrived in Dublin 3 days ago and we will be contacted shortly with delivery date.
I still have generic April 25th - May 10th Delivery window in my app. So hopefully we will hear soon!
I cancelled via chat (found on the bottom right of the existing inventory page). Asked to cancel, gave RN number, they send a text and you respond yes to cancel. I then asked them to confirm i would receive a refund as per Ireland distance selling rules.
Maybe the Seine Highway did have Teslas on board after all 🤩
Thats good news! This would tie in with the ship Seine Highway which arrived from Zeebrugge to Dublin port on the 14th of April a known Tesla carrier which had recently dropped Tesla's off in Norway.

Cool i have same EDD with a VIN, i am working across the road from Baldonnel :) so hmm could it be our teslas are just across the N7 from me :)
My EDD is Apr 25th-May 10th. I just asked on chat as have been told "We are looking at late April, we will be in contact soon by SMS regarding collection" That's not long at all! They won't be asking for payment until collection date is locked in
I've the same EDD and he said the same about my VIN. Fingers crossed he wasn't just saying it to get me off chat as fast as possible.
And it gets even weirder. I asked were my car is ( provided the VIN) and was told it was in transit at the minute. I asked if it was coming from UK and was told "no, it's in transit directly from the factory, your car was constructed in Feburary". So like.. it's been sitting in China for weeks? Also only the Grand Champion is heading for Zeebrugge and it doesn't dock there until 6th May so that's not a "late April" delivery.
Ya i am getting the same info on chat, no word of a recent docking of a boat ... so they are throwing out the same standard chat ...we cant tell you yet :)
You've got to get hold of Dimitrie, he's the one in the know. If it's not Dimitrie, leave the chat and try again :)
