I bought resale tickets from Ticketmaster on Thursday. It’s still saying that the tickets aren’t ready yet. Does anyone have any idea how long it usually takes for them to be ready?

I've got HS for Stade de France for the week before and have the same message.
tickets For major events only become “available/ready” on the app/account a week or so before the concert now.

I see SUM41 is playing 11 gigs/festivals in june (1-16th). Then 7 week gap and into US. Would love to see them here.

I never ever remember this being the case for Irish events, tickets were always available in the account once bought.
This seems to be some unwanted practice being brought over from the Uk.

That sounds like Ticketmaster customer support stock reply, dont worry tickets will appear 72 hours before the event , then 48, then 24, dont worry at all.😁
Digital tickets were supposed to make the buying process better for customers not worse.
It is absolutely disgraceful that Ticketmaster can do this and also pick and choose when and if we can transfer our tickets if mobile tickets.
Once we pay for tickets we should have them instantly and be able to gift or transfer them instantly!!!
I suspect its so that Ticketmaster can make more money on resale.
They will allow resale but not transfer or issue the tickets so that they can profit on resale themselves.
They are a vile entity.

Post covid for a certain high profile shows. Garth brooks tickets only showed up on the app/account 3 or 4 weeks before the shows, even less for ed sheeran I think, Bruce tickets aren’t up yet nor are Harry styles in Slane either.
nothing to worry about as in digital tickets appear instantly when turned on. Not like they are mailing physical tickets out with days to go to a concert.
tichetmaster previously used to leave mailing out physical tickets to the last minute and give people heartache.
sure people in Glastonbury thread bring up the issue of tickets only being mailed out with two or three weeks to go.
Likewise for Sam Fender Malahide. Although it is weird which shows do it that way and which don't. I don't get why they don't Ticketmaster don't just put the tickets up instantly, doesn't make any difference really

accounts being hacked and digital tickets being “stolen” is one reason, not exactly a compelling one though
I wouldn't believe a word Ticketmaster say.
The primary reason it is done is so Ticketmaster can make more money.
If an event is selling poorly, they will delay the delivery and disable resale so as to push their own remaining primary stock.
People cant resell elsewhere and people can't resell on Ticketmaster.
If an event is selling well they will delay delivery so people cant resell elsewhere, only on Ticketmaster where Ticketmaster will get a nice resale fee which is greater than the initial service charge.
It really all comes down to how can Ticketmaster make more money, this myth that its to protect customers or security is bollix.
The delay in releasing digital tickets, is not clear, but the feature, is a very handy way of selling or buying a ticket, albeit some additional charges for buyers. and beats the hell out of meeting up with a stranger somewhere, who may not who up.
The convenience and flexibility it offers someone who wants to buy or sell,far outweighs, the negative, of late release.
Ticketmaster resale and delaying of digital tickets aren't mutually exclusive.
On Twickets (ticket reselling site a lot of acts endorse) you don't need to meet up with the seller more of often than not. Ticketmaster resale is very useful though
This is absolutely the way they play it, the bastards. Infuriating.
Twickets is excellent, however, twickets has not yet got a “mass” foothold, so it is extremely limited at the moment, less than 20 events showing right now on Twickets, versus 000’s of resale events on TM.
The transferability process on TM is much better,no additional account to be setup, its a one stop shop, it leaves seller TM account, and is moved to Buyers account.
Most twicket events are not transferrable in this way, its an email from buyer, which in theory means,(less likely but still possible) buyer could sell them, then, use them on the night, if they are entry scanned, before person who bought them.
I like Twickets, and have used them before, but right now, TM transfer is the best and most secure, easiest, transfer method available.

Unfortunately it looks like it will be the last year of the Marquee, Aiken doesn't even seem to be trying anymore, the acts this year are dreadful.
I guess with the huge increase in gig costs and artists greed that its hard to market a 5k venue.
You'd wonder how the new events centre in Cork can be viable, alot of arenas in the Uk are struggling to fill up their schedules as more and more acts choose to tour in the summer open airs since Covid.
Marquee will be there next year.
As for artists, it was always a mixed bag.
the gambled on a few interesting bookings and they didn’t sell out.
plus 5,000 capacity show in cork is a hard sell, act would want to be a 3 arena level realistically to guarantee a sell out in cork.
live nation operating the cork events centre same as 3arena.
will be interesting to see if agents can be persuaded to add cork show for less money than another 3arena show
Where is the new site ? Unless things have changed, the Current site is being developed so it was touted as unavailable in ‘24, & Peter Aiken didn’t mention/confirm a 2024 Marquee, think he said something along the lines of “ somethings come to an end”
As for new venue, its all kind of moot, as construction, has not even been started yet, so its likely 2 years away minimum.
