Atrocious performance from the ref. He absolutely ruined the game with the constant whistling and some truly crap decisions.
A point up with 5 to go when we got the all important goal.
Timmy Wilk chipped in with 4 from play from around midfield.and will surely start the next day having not starting the last 2 games.
Quite a few wides, especially a few from frees that should have been scored.
But that's 3 wins form 3.
Clare 0-22 Cork 1-24 FT
That's one of the worst reffing performances. Constant frees everywhere and ruined the flow of the game. He gave a free to whoever was in possession at the time I'm glad Cork won but he ruined it for both sides. Felt like neither could get going properly.
Game hinged on the goal Cork got. Once we got the goal we pulled a bit clear. Clare had a great chance in the first half for a goal but he over carried it when all he had to do was pass it to a free man.
Clear over carrying by the Clare lad left go- jinking left, right and left again. Very annoying considering the frees given so far.
Ht Clare 0-12 v Cork 0-11
Constant frees from the ref for both teams. He is way too whistle happy
He is really spoiling this. Like touch hurling. No tackles allowed
10 gone, good start, 6 v 2 up. Live on TG4 youtube.
Really poor second half from Cork in the minor game. We haven't won any puckouts all day. Clare in complete control in the midfield.
A load of errors from us coming out with the ball from defence. Dropping balls and unable to rise ball first time. Possession lost and results in a Clare score
Another thing that is very noticeable, is the amount of throwing the ball from both teams.
Clare score 5 or 6 points in a row to take a 6 point lead with 10 to go.

The Cork Minor Hurling team to play Clare tomorrow in Round 4 of the Munster Minor Hurling Championship has been announced
U20 football tomorrow at 7
Lost in the end. Good game to watch. Ref was very poor but Cork had so many bad wides. It was about 10. We really missed Thompson in midfield
The ball just didn't run our way. A few very bad wides, 10 in total. The goal chance in the 59th minute, had to be put away.
Some really bad wides are killing us and the ref has been giving them a lot of frees. One was for a thown ball but it was clearly handpassed. Hit the post when it could have been a goal as well so it looks like one of those days
Galway 3 up with 10 min left
Enjoyable first half. Cork ahead by two
Camogie league final v Galway on RTE at 1:50
The Cork U20 Football team to play Limerick in the Munster U20 Football Championship Semi Final has been announced
On the hurlers injury front, Alan Connolly will be out for the Munster Championship. He had shoulder surgery and is back with his club physio in recovery.
Coleman is still recovering from his knee injury and its not certain when he will be back.
Disappointing news as I hoped both would be back.
Sean O'Donoghue went off against Limerick with a dead leg and his recovery has been slow. He is back running though at least. He is at training every night though talking to everyone because he is Team Captain and that's great to hear.
The good news is that both Darragh Fitzgibbon and Robbie O'Flynn are back in full training. I really thought Robbie was going to be out for longer so nice to hear him back training.
A depressing article here by Kieran Shannon. We already knew that times are bleak but he's just reminding us how Cork are no longer Cork.

We're only two all Irelands behind Galway though, if we overtake them then we're next in line after Kerry and Dublin. The problem is that we're miles away from winning an all Ireland, and Galway are far more likely to win Sam next than us. Cork football has for pretty much the vast majority of the time, been riddled with a very un Cork like inferiority complex.
Is that down to the fact that football is the poor relation sport in the county, and the various traumatic beatings at the hands of Kerry over the years? I suppose it is. Maybe we should get an Ulster born manager in after Cleary. That comment Joe Brolly said before about Cork being purveyors of dumb football was a cruel one, but there was a lot of truth to it as well imo.
It's the style we play too though. It's horrible to watch.
In 2019 we started play a lovely brand of football. We did lose to Dubs by 15 points (our near that) but for 60 minutes we gave a great account of ourselves and I was very proud of those super 8 defeats to Dublin and Tyrone, plus we gave Kerry a good game in Munster.
We seemed to carry that over till Munster final v Tipp in 2020. That day we produced possibly worst Cork performance I can remember and I include Kerry in 2014/2018 and Limerick in 2003 to those.
For every step forward it's been three steps back.
It's not the beatings that bother me, its the style and the lack of pride that I just gave up watching Cork football.
I don't care about my opinion being wrong. If Cork turned it around and started win things I be only too happy for people to point out my negative thoughts on team in past and bookmark them all you like.
But I had friends getting way too carried away about few league performances and thinking we had turned corner. If you have not learned by now you never will.
Sunday did not bother me. I just shrugged shoulders when saw the result.
The whole culture of Cork football has to change. We can blame Frank to a degree I agree, but he ain't only one.
Players and management down years have been way too hit and miss and we just seem to **** our pance when we see Kerry Jersey. We have only ever beaten Dublin twice in championship football. Lost a All Ireland to Louth in past. Left way too much behind us. I can actually understand why people don't bother go to their games.
I know he's nearly 80 but we really need Billy Morgan to have some involvement with the senior panel. His fingerprints have been all over the very few football all Irelands we've won since 1945, player in 1973, manager in 1989/1990 and he started the rebuilding process that led to the 2010 all Ireland win. Whenever we're looking for the next manager, we need to consider going outside the county imo, even if it's a Kerry man then so be it.
I would've baulked at that notion 10 years ago, which shows just how badly we've fallen. We haven't won a trophy outside of the McGrath Cup since 2012 either, and we're now only the third best team in Munster after Kerry and Clare. We brought in Kevin Walsh from Galway, but you'd have to question what he's bringing to the table after yesterday.
What a pitiful and pathetic shambles Cork football is sadly. We have no divine right to success in either code, but the bare minimum i expect is the team to be competently prepared and the players to give it their all. Did that happen yesterday i'm not sure, but i do think that we took Clare for granted, and we sure did pay a heavy price for that. This team just can't be taken seriously, until they put three or four serious championship performances together.
It's a total mess. The league is more important now than provincials. Not sure how long more the provincial championships can last.
I was thinking the exact same thing as you.
What a mess of a system.
Tailteann has group stages no??
