Yeah I had the same with VW and an ID4 but due to the delays in 2021 I got the deposit back there also after a bit of complaining.
And according to his pinned comment made afterwards, they all appear to be RHD cars ❤️

I wouldn't think that's possible as the cars come off a transporter in Baldonnell and are collected there. You would probably need to go to Sandyford for anything else and I don't think you can schedule a service visit until you've taken ownership of the car. There's no "shop" in Baldonnell for accessories or parts.
My M3 RWD has the delivery date "Estimated delivery: Apr - Jun 2023"
Any educated guesses as to when it will actually be ? I have to give back a company car soon and am wondering if I should get an older car to keep me going for a couple of months or not....
Nobody knows. Not even tesla. Assume nothing.
According to what Tesla Shanghai is saying now, those who order in the first quarter will get their cars by the second quarter ..... I hope you all get your cars by June at the latest
I think, judging by the last quarter deliveries, that a large shipment will arrive mid - end of May, and deliveries will commence shortly afterwards with the aim of having them all delivered by the end of June. That's how Tesla operate, end of quarter figures are what they live for.
But lots of us have Vins the last couple of weeks that show they were built around jan-feb surely them cars are not in Shanghai and by June they would be nearly 6 months old.
The roof rack doesn't include installation, it even says in the description "for easy home installation" . I've order a few things off the Tesla Shop for my upcoming MY and they've all arrived within 2-3 days via DHL. Everything ships from the Netherlands.
Can I figure out month of production on my MY RWD with a 755….. VIN
This chart will give you a rough idea based on the last 6 digits of the VIN. Blue dots are Shanghai cars.

Based on that my MY is a Feb '23 car
Yep and my 72xxxx was early Jan, surely that's in Ireland or UK somewhere? Would be strange if they left it behind in China and only send it on the next ship that will arrive late next month.
How did u figure that what’s your VIN, 75xxxx
Ahh I didn’t see u could click the blue dots.
755 means they are made end of Jan or beginning of February. We are 2 months after the manufacturing date so it takes at least a month to ship them? Weird with the 72xx - maybe they have a different approach to RHD that is not UK?
I asked the Helpdesk (I know I know) and the person I spoke to said this was asked quite a lot but was not in the plans to shift stock from the UK to IE)
Would be interesting to know some of the higher numbered VINs of MYs delivered at the end of March. Would help give us some benchmark, there is a chance the EDDs are completely wrong and giving us all false hope.
Tesla reps have said numerous times that late April/Early May deliveries are planned. It's a mystery where these cars actually are.
The other half is getting cold feet with Tesla (MYLR) due to the arsing around with the Firesale, extreme vagueness on delivery and customer support side of things being terrible.
However, most of all the woeful resale value she is seeing on model 3s atm. The price cuts are cutting the arse out of any secondhand value for now (we aimed to keep it for 3-4 years). Not buying as an investment but still, I can't really blame her on it. She wants to move into an Audi A6 Avant, also beautiful but not what we were aiming for.
Don't think I can hold the line much longer with Tesla being so vague with everything and the sale debacle. Not to mention in person sales reps being... Let's say untrustworthy.
Anyone know how long it takes for a payment to show up in Tesla? I sent a small amount on Friday, but it hasn't showed up as a payment in my Tesla account yet
Should probably see it on Monday 👍
One thing I can say for sure Tesla will not get a dime more out of me till I have date and we know the cars are in the country.
Depends when you sent it. Cutoff is generally 2 pm and Saturdays there is no accounting so I'd say will show up Monday 99% and Tuesday the latest
I intend to keep the car for 5 years at least as I don't like changing plus with low mileage we will hopefully will stay strong. Will be our first new car - so far always bought 3 years old cars. Plus had a couple of bangers when in uni but that doesn't count ;)
Quite understandable and I would worry that poor resale values will be the achilles heel of the current 3 and Y models. The longer deliveries get delayed, the more orders that will be cancelled. Attempting to manage sales for Ireland through the UK isn’t helping.
10000% - i got my #onceyougetkellydyoucantgoback deposit but the second amount sent still not back. Sending a larger amount and then trying to get it back would be stressful af
The ship is coming. It was the same for a lot of us in February. You will have your car soon. Have a look back about 40 pages and see exactly the same conversations in Feb/March.
It'll soon be forgotten when you plant your right foot on the way home with your new car...... And... breathe....
Hang on in there. !!
I understand where you are coming from with regards questioning things but out of curiosity, where are you seeing the poor resale values of the M3? From what I can see the resale values are pretty strong considering the price new. Maybe I'm missing something 😕 I am not overly concerned about normal depreciation which you'll have with every car, but I don't want to get completely shocked when trading in 2 years or that
Remember when we bought the first VW IDs? Was it one and a half years waiting?
Probably not a bad idea to wait until I have a collection date, but, wasn't sure if they want payment first before giving a collection date 🤔
