While some one did a fairly amateur job trying to reduce Russian losses on one ,the original documents show high losses
The Orcs altered many of the original documents in the leak, and likely fabricated ones that weren't leaked and inserted them in the overall information flow. It's the age old trick of inserting false information into a set of less important true information in the hope no one notices and accepts the false information as being true, by association.

Despite the various claims on here but ukraine aren't losing the same as the Russians but yet they are losing ground which suggests that the Ukrainans in bakhmut have been severely depleted despite being re-enforced twice recently

Russian morale will soar while doubt and uncertainty will surely enter Ukrainian military personnel. This sounds like a failure before it even begins. Ukraine may well abandon this idea and instead send Zelinksy out with the bowl around Europe to try build up a bigger better equipped force.
But if Ukraine withdraw from bakhmut, they loose the 10:1 advantage. So Russia advance to the next town/city and start destroying it and the ratio drops. So Ukraine withdraw from there and rinse and repeat?
Ukraine may loose 3k as you have stated, but 30k less Russians may be worth it (certainly not for us to decide) Not to mention the advantage ratio wise must extend to Russian equipment losses.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar has denied Russian fakes and noted that the losses of Russians in Bakhmut are many times higher, there are days when the difference reaches 10 times.

The trouble with the bravado of 'Bakhmut holds' is that the people saying it aren't those doing the dying. Two young US volunteers died there a few days ago. If the Ukrainians are killing 350 Orcs a day there, 50 Ukrainians are also dying - per day.
I'm not sure a meat-grinder, even running at 7:1, is as effective as having an extra 3,000+ experienced troops for the offensive. In a Telegram channel I saw a comment from an AFU fighter who sounded very dejected about being in Bakhmut, with a sharp criticism for management that they didn't tell them that Orc special forces had been unleashed on them, the inference being they were being more effective in killing Ukrainians and a far tougher opponent than they had been used to.
It's also not helping that the Orcs have now gotten ECM assets that are rendering commercial DJI drones inopperable as well as doing some extensive GPS signal jamming.
It would almost make sense anywhere else in the world,but we know putin is still hoping to take the whole of Ukraine or the absolute majority of their territory,
Come the summer Ukrainian offensive that occupied territories are going to be liberated and I can't see Russia coming back to try again
Seems like Prigozhin is advising Russia to hold what it has and declare victory, stating they’ve grabbed a substantial part of Ukraine and killed or forced to flee many Ukrainian men (no mention of worse stats for Russians).

Looks like they now control something like 80% of bakhmut and creeping forward, while it's primarily being used as a meat grinder,both sides Ukrainian and Russian are loosing valuable men and equipment,
At this point it might be worth saying right we've done our job we've weakened the Russians,let them have What's left of the city and we will return in a few months and liberate the city once and for all ,

Feels like absolutely nothing happening the last week or so apart from Russia's slow creep in Bakhmut.
I don't know what's more surprising the fact they're still hanging on in mid April or the fact Russia's take over of the city has been so consistently slow. No major breakthroughs or collapses but rarely do they stall completely.
The railway station has now fallen so the pocket gets smaller. Looks like only a matter of time really. Hopefully the counter attack starts before it falls. The weather forecasts are starting to improve I'd imagine if May is dry we'll see something.

The Left need to clean house and decide if they are going to be on the side of democracy or going to remaining backers of every Communist authoritarian butcher regime and any one who is opposed to the West, including the Comrade in the Kremlin.
Think I recall reading that their "Top Secret" is not really the highest level secrets, that they have all kinds of other levels above that for far more sensitive stuff (The Doomsday Machine: Confessions of a Nuclear War Planner is in my mind as source of this) and actually many people (or more than you would expect...) will be accessing such "Top Secret" material.
What I have read in media stories about the leak is all sensitive information US obtains on (or is perhaps given by) allies, or things it learns about enemies (e.g. Russia) etc. They (IMO) don't seem to be careful enough with that stuff.
The latter is especially bad, and could get people killed and then make it less likely anyone in such places will help them in future (if that is how they got the information).
I think there was details of secret/high level "discussions"/decision making in Russia (and Egypt). If some unfortunate in either of those countries gets fingered for giving the US material, he or she could be disappeared...
FYI, the E4-B "Doomsday Plane" is taxiing out at Mildenhall at the moment. Worth looking up its characteristics.

I'm pretty sure the Canadians ran a competition to choose their tanks back in the late 80s which led to the leopard been chosen,
The plan was to replace the old lepoards tanks with Strykers vehicles fitted with 105mm main tank guns ,but the Strykers didn't fare well in Afghanistan due to lack of protection,the Canadians then went with 2nd hand leopards 2 from the Dutch,if I remember correctly

Not really. I just finished reading Eric Schlossers Command & Control, which discusses the topic of nuclear weapons safety at length. Great read by the way, I highly recommend it to anyone who's interested in that kind stuff. Anyway, from the moment that nuclear weapons went into mass production, the USAF, particularly Strategic Air Command, fought tooth and nail against ANY type of safeguard in their nuclear weapons, or indeed any type of civilian oversight at all. Even the Permissive Action Link that a previous poster mentioned had to be forced on them. Using a code like 00000000 would fit in totally with that mindset, in fact, Schlosser mentions it in the epilogue of Command & Control.
