I didn't get a text but my Apr 10 - 25 Apr estimated delivery date has changed to Apr 18 - 03 May.
This forum is both the best and the worst thing i have come across in this short Tesla journey...i am a bloody addict now refreshing every 2 mins and tracking ships that arent moving really on a world map :)

A dump of M3s just went up on the inventory but mostly over 60K mark
I'd a query on distance selling rules, if you test drive or go to sandyford to see a car could it be argued you have seen the product (maybe not the exact product you are getting).
Tell the truth, the missus took your phone as she wanted a break from Tesla talk too.

To wait on a Jan 14 th MYLR white on the hope I get a car before the grant reduces, or get a MY RWD in a preferred colour and lock in the grant!

Yes, if you test drive a vehicle your order is no longer considered a 'distance selling' order. This is from page 5 of the order agreement:
"If, shortly after you have test driven a vehicle, you order a Vehicle online that matches the specifications of the vehicle you have test driven, this Agreement shall not have been entered into by using means of distance communication and consequently you will not have the statutory cancellation right described herein."
Order a RWD and decide when you have further information from Tesla.
I got an email from CCPC not long after saying the same and just looking for more information like order agreement etc.
In the exact same boat as you, have had 2 MYLR (one white, one black) on order since Jan 14th still showing as generic Apr-Jun.
Tempted to get a RWD with white interior (I wish I could have that in LR) but think I'll hold off.
I do have a worry that due to Tesla Ireland being massively disorganised that then next ships are going to show up with hardly any LR even though lots were ordered.
In saying that if they ship us a boat load of RWD instead of some LR there will probably be lots of RWD available in a month or two still.
I would like to have the car now but need it for middle of June at latest.
I know I'll be a bit annoyed if I take one of the RWD now and a load of LR arrive in May/June. Heading off for a 4000+km trip to France in July so I'd imagine hanging on for the LR will feel worthwhile then, same trip in RWD will be noticeably crapper.
I'm guessing/hoping it won't be the case that come June there will be no LR and no RWD, but who knows.
That said if I bought one now it would stop the huge time suck of checking this thread, signing up for Telegram updates of stock etc. It's not a fun/good use of time!
So basically it is safer to order first and then test drive, yes?
I never test drove one, only sat inside the UK registered white MY that was at Sandyford. Not sure what details you need to share before going for a drive and if they link that to your account.
I test drove a second hand M3 to see what the Tesla experience was like.
There are ton's on MY inventory at the moment, It would be amazed to see if the next shipment would contain more of these. I believe we maybe getting M3's for next shipping probably but less of MY's
No, IMO. Because even if you buy in sandyford, you are guided through the process on the computers in the show room or you go home and order online. Distance selling rules apply, again, IMO, based on my personal experiences with Tesla.
I booked a test drive if the MY last year. Then ordered a week later after getting so home call to ask how the test drive went.
I then cancelled in February this year and got my deposit back.
I fully empathise with all of the above!
To preserve my own sanity, I've updated my own MY LR order (white / black) from early Feb to a MY RWD (blue / white) today after the 'firesale' stock reappeared on site.
Generic Apr - May gone to Apr 25 - May 10th and VIN assigned within 5 mins (75***).
I also have a M3 LR with a VIN (Apr 19 - May 4).
I'm leaning towards the MY RWD at the moment as it's 10% cheaper and I can get it in a preferred spec (preferred colour exterior/ interior).
Also, as I have a VIN, it must exist somewhere in the ether!
Have you tried a better route planner to see how much more often you'd need to stop if you had a RWD versus a LR?
You might be surprised as the difference may not be as big as expected.
Also, I know the conditions are totally different, but Bjorn got some serious efficiency out of a MY RWD in Thailand recently;

Yes, once the car isn’t registered you’re good for a refund. Tesla won’t register it until you’ve paid in full

We're driving to France in June and praying the car was here on time so we changed to an inventory RWD MY today. I've had a E-Golf the last 3 years and we've driven to london twice and edinburgh/Glasgow. Never once had range anxiety ( eGolf gets 232Km in SUMMER max) so RWD will be perfectly fine.
I jumped on the bandwagon today, got the telegram alert so ordered a MY in blue. Got my VIN and estimate delivery April 25 - May 10. Couple of questions
Does the outstanding balance need to be paid immediately? Or can I pay it closer to delivery date?
They’re looking for insurance details, what’s to be provided here? Will it hold anything up?

Wait until a collection date is set. Otherwise you might be waiting forever for a refund if anything happens
Insurance details are not required here. It's for countries that require it.
Dropped into Sandyford this pm on way back from an airport run. Have an issue with my MYLR order from January - can't see full details of finance agreement, i.e. repayment amount, GMFV (doing PCP) and interest rate on the Completed Tasks in the App.
While there I asked re delivery of my MYLR order from 15th January and Conan seemed confident it would be delivered in Apr-Jun window-well 90% confident.
So discussed switching order to a MYRWD from inventory for quicker delivery and he said it would not be delivered any sooner!
Does this mean all on same boat - oh and he said there are two deliveries anticipated between now and June

You don’t show the insurance at all. Ignore that tab. It’s a USA tab and irrelevant in Ireland.
Pay it once you get a delivery date.
