Post all your Tesla Model 3 and Model Y EDD updates and other delivery related posts here please
Mod Note: Anyone posting a referral link outside the Tesla referral thread will have their link deleted
No, not at all. I just mean once you had a referral applied at least you’ll get something. That’s not me but don’t worry 😃
I got some really interesting mats with my Polestar. The material is like a mix between carpet and plastic and they clean/hoover really easily. I hate traditional carpet mats. They get dirty and smelly. I agree that rubber ones look rubbish.
Interesting. Throw up a pic.
They didn't forget about the grant with the firesale cars. In fact they added a 'showroom' adjustment which brought them under the grant;
It has been discussed and debated in detail already but apparently there was an error as the pan European discounts were added to those cars destined for Dublin (in error apparently but who knows the true story). Hence orders were cancelled and now those same cars are finally back on site for full price.
Quite a few cars appearing with the tow hitch. Any theories as to why that is so?
Its putting all the MY LR over the grant threshold.
It's not - the Tesla website way of shoeing pricing is rubbish - the price on the home screen you are showing is before VRT and grants - VRT on the car your referred to is over €4k which brings it up to price displayed, which is the list price.
You need to click through to the order page & choose cash to get the actual price with any grants & VRT applied
Nice one on the order Robbie..where do you see the credit referral. I don't see any in my app or web account.
No idea... I never wanted a tow hitch but my cancelled MY had one and now my new order does. I figure it's removable so may as well future proof the thing. Mine is the RWD so still under the grant threshold.. the tow hitch will only ever be used for carrying bikes for us anyway
AWD and towing something are often bedfellows.
wow look at all them UK rejects
Another classic example of Tesla pushing for MY rather than M3. I'm kind of losing hope if we would get any M3 in next months.
On the order agreement there was a small box on the left that listed the OMSP as over €60k, this is what the grant is based on. All of the discounts and adjustments meant nothing once that was in the mix. One looks to have slipped through, but 80 was always going to be a problem
Was/still is a consideration/concern of mine also. Tesla confirmed for me this morning that our car
Do I believe them? It is Tesla webchat after all. They c/wouldn't tell me where the car was or what it had been up to since early January.
A car registered in the UK and subsequently registered in Ireland would have a previous registration number noted on the VRC when registered in Ireland.
how do start a tesla webchat, i am not finding it or maybe i am looking in wrong place
How can we check the mileage before the collection though? I am expecting an under 50km on the clock but if it has anything over i would reject it to get a new one. Any idea how this works?
Also got a response from CCPC - Asked me for a copy of the order agreement
Top right corner, just change it to Ireland and proceed. You should be good then.
Should appear on screen if available. Here’s mine just now.
Bottom right corner
Edit - I found an updated referral link you posted - want to repost for all again?
Mileage when ordering will state below 50km.
I don’t know if any that has been higher. Usually around 8-11km.
New cars can have more on them though.
CCPC. They most likely want to check that Teslas cancellation wording was on your actual order agreement.
Once you click the link the top right corner has US on it. Click that and change to ireland.
Then scroll down and order away 😃
Last month's sale debacle has been referred to the Consumer Protection & Enforcement Division by the CCPC. Can't see anything happening other than a wrap on the knuckles for Tesla in many months/years time, once they finish doing their investigation
That’s it.
Individuals were told by the CCPC that there’s likely no recourse for personal orders and Tesla are covered by their T&C’s. In the same way a buyer can cancel at the last minute too I suppose.
The CPCC wouldn't have referred the case unless they believed there were grounds to warrant it, so there may well be something in this.
Where did you see this @bf
I also made a complaint to the CCPC but have heard nothing back
The buyer can't cancel at the last minute, at least as far as I'm aware.
They can indeed. Under distance selling rules and teslas T&C’s. They can also take the car and return it without quibble within 14 days of ownership.
Tesla charge you about 55c per km driven but if you don’t like it that’s a small price to pay.
I got a mail an hour ago saying exactly that
Is there a contact there? I got the cancellation email but its still on my account. Still tempted to try arguing it.
I haven’t mailed the CCPC either as the agent stated there would be nothing they could do.
I also believe it’s a 2 way street in that Tesla let us cancel at the last minute, I understand a price error can be cancelled in their behalf. Having worked in retail while in school and college I understand the invitation to purchase etc
I will mail if it helps others but I don’t have a gripe to be honest.
