You were given a booklet with information and asked to create something as a group to present in a dragon-den type style to the panel. It had to do with the productivity of lawyers and how you could make it easier for them to deal with everyday issues.

Hi guys, I am a 3rd-year undergrad. Does anybody have tips for the best way to study for the watson glaser test? I am trying to secure a summer legal internship. Just any general advice in terms of the best websites to practice on, questions to look out for, etc. Any guidance whatsoever would be greatly appreciated :)

Not sure if this is the right thread but I’m trying to make a decision relating to training as a solicitor.
I passed all my FE1s in 2019 but ended up emigrating. I got an offer of a TC which I turned down in 2021 to stay abroad. The 5 year rule means my FE1s will expire at the end of this year unless I start a TC and get the indentures signed before 2023 is out.
I hate Dublin and can’t imagine moving back there right now. My life abroad is good for the most part and I make more money than I would as a trainee at home. I’m wondering if I’m better off trying to qualify over here and do the QLTT exams to qualify in Ireland after or should I try for another TC, bite the bullet come home and qualify?!
FE1s were a dose and it drives me mad to think all my work that year could be for nothing.
Just an FYI they have extended the once five year rule to now being seven years !!
I would suggest you ring the LS and get confirmation regarding your own personal circumstances, seeing has it is almost 5 years since you passed them all! Best of luck
The five year rule was extended to seven for the time period to pass the exams themselves but once you pass them, you must apply for consent to enter into indentures of apprenticeship within five years of the 31st December of the year you passed the FE-1s!
