Old estate agent's trick to sell a house cheap with the view of a friend buying it.
They soak the attic with a hose several times before at goes up for sale.
House looks like crap, so sells cheap. But the reality is the house/roof is OK and buyer is going to strip the inside anyway.
😂
pure fantasy
Seems to have been taken down, from what the link tells us?
Mouldy log cabin for 160k in Kilkenny
the whole upstairs was like this, probably worse. 240 mourne road .
edit - still on daft https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/end-of-terrace-house-240-mourne-road-drimnagh-dublin-12/4688952
🤮
Very unlikely it was flooded, the level of water in the lake is controlled by Parteen Weir and it would have to raise by a few meters to get to the house/ cabin.
..
Horrible
Aww I tried searching for that listing, nada
Ah I see the daft listing, nevermind
I found it on daft.
It would be fun on a wet and windy Mayo eveing dragging the wheelie bin all the way down to the gate for the binmen to collect.
They definitely should NOT be proud to bring that to the market. It's revolting to think people were living there, possibly renting it.
And the prize for understatement of the year is theirs for this - 'The property is in need of TLC.' 🙄
When I was a kid a friend of mine lived in a house with a really really long drive.
We'd sit in the open boot of the car and hold the bin while his da drove down.
When we got to 14/15 it was a great excuses to have a smoke on the walk to get the bin/post .
I live out in the sticks and that is a common sight to see. The bin men now come into the road of my parents house but back in the day when I was living there I used to drive the parents car which had a toe hitch, so I used to put the handle of wheelie bin on the hitch and drive to the top of the road to bring the bin out. It slotted in nicely and you didn't have to tie it either.
That's a lot of house for under €300K - what's the catch???
Dear god, take a look at the virtual tour
the bathroom, pan up to the ceiling, I’m genuinely shocked 🤢
Jesus that Mourne road house is really shocking.
Imagine if they were your neighbours. And you have the bants with them all the time. Maybe you chat through holidays, family events, how's it going at work and all that. And then the house goes up for sale and you see all that!
Would guess it was rented out to some poor unfortunate who couldn’t afford or find anything better. Students on short term basis probably. There’s no way a permanent resident/owner lives like that. You would hope anyway. Awful dump.
On the Mayo mansion I feel I’m missing something. Who is Brian?
"On the Mayo mansion I feel I’m missing something. Who is Brian?."
That was my guess too, rented out.
It must be downright dangerous with the state it's in. 😡
Brians bar above - is included in the photos of the Mayo house
Yeah I too would think its a rental. I would say though the problems here are caused by both landlords neglect and the tenants being careless.
Don't know if this has been posted here before. I feel so sorry for the family that was renting this before the landlord decided to sell
There's a show video. The ceilings in the bedrooms are nightmare fuel, and don't get me started with the one in the bathroom
Surely any agent with a brain would have just posted the front of the house and the floor and site plans and called it a renovation project? Or is the market that bad that they expect average buyers to be interested in this kip?
Maybe they don't actually want to sell but to get the tenant out.
House goes on market and stays there for months and months
I know there's rules around eviction etc
I don't understand why people cant take care of a house, even a rented one. When I was renting, I cut my own grass, did weeding, painting, basically keeping it respectful with what I could afford
I'll hold my hands up and say I'm untidy...but Jesus Christ that's a health risk. Their lungs must be shredded.
I'm no expert by any stretch but would you now need to strip the plaster off to get rid of all that?
Are.... are they advertising an attic conversion... as a penthouse??
Edit - ad taken down!
That link just bringing me to main page , not the actual property
