I see Andre/graise didn't last too long farming in NZ. He's heading back to consultancy in Ireland.
Those that can "do" and those that cant "teach"
Those that can ‘do’ and those that can’t ‘teach’…and those that can’t teach consult.
😀 fyp!
But they, and those that depend in their living from those same farmers, do make up a fair percentage of her constituency. Hard to know what way any election would go but being popular in the media or nationally is no guarantee of winning your own seat
No suprise then the young stock r doing well as I mentioned on another recent thread regarding Herbal leys/natural grassland and calf health
I doubt intensive dairy farmers have or ever will vote for her or policies to reign in Agri pollution, so makes FA difference to her voting base now or in the future.
PS:Theres a video doing the rounds on Twitter today showing some clown driving a tanker and firing slurry from a public road during heavy rain last Friday into a small field next to what looks like a lake in Clare. These cowboys r probably the biggest threat to any derogation extension
I'm here near holly. She made a great impression with the young people at the door. Pro abortion, lgbtplus so on . She has a big problem with greyhounds ect. And remember west cork have a big proportion of English and European people. Most townlands around the coast have two farmers and ten houses with blow ins. ( That's a guess). Farmers are not the majority any more. Michael Collins TD would be a more traditional breed. He could have nearly got two quotes the last election.
Some prices for Angus bulls in bandon today 4plus for any strong lad
She was lucky last time and was just ahead of a farmer. Lucky again to be party leader now which will probably save her Pushing for drugs legalisation big time.
What are people treating for high scc cows? Might segregate 5 and treat for a few days. Mixed results last year with bolises, garlic and antibiotics
Anyone have a head gate they really like ?
we’ve the standard semi automatic one like attached but it’s a battle to get slot of cows into it
makes doing a job a pure chore if they won’t go into it. Bolused all the cows this evening and the ones that wouldn’t go into the gate really slowed us up
Morris head gate only job
Have you a picture please
I gave the Ahv bolus a go again last few weeks kev …..reluctantly I might add as Was a disaster last time I used them but that was more down to rep and lack of advice /guidance …..3 cows flagged up on my smaXtec system as poteintal mastitis cases which they were …treated straight away and cured with no antibiotics ….well impressed
if cow came in with clots and off straight in with terexine (5 tubes)and bottle tylosin over 3 days

I agree with you re the cowboys .....and the sad part is that that offender are probably not in a derogation. Most farmers that I know in derogation are aware of the need to farm within the regulations as there business usually depends on the derogation continuing
Reckon she must be going to run in Dublin next time.
I know ego could be running high, but she's not stupid.
I have the Condon heavy duty head gate. It's a savage gate re the strength and ease of use but if you have a cute cow that has been around the block you'd want the Irish scrum pack to push her into it!
We have a Northern Engineering cow tipper were I work https://www.northernengineeringltd.com
It has a hydraulic rump rail for pushing them in and hydraulic headlock. If I had to bolus everything, I would probably use it. However the cows are smallish and reasonably quiet so could possibly be done in the herringbone AI crush.
A couple of lads on twitter have good report of the stuff you add to the drinking water. It's nagging me all morning I can't for the life of me think of it's name.
I found the ahv good if used early otherwise didn't do much.
Metacam or some anti inflammatory should be given with every clinical case anyway
Ridomast.
She comes across as a decent person, and fine role model.
There'll probably be some amount of flak thrown her way by the next election.
Very easily swayed though.
Doesn't say much for her knowledge and science that has a bearing on her constituents.
There's a wiff from this side of the country of another Mick Wallace.
She wants to close down half the dairy farms in her own west Cork and wants the legalisation of all drugs. Some role model.
Got fertiliser delivered today. First time trying urea instead of CAN. I’m stocked just above 2.0 LU. Am I reading the official advice right if I spread 1 bag/acre on grazing ground?
Sounds like some cheap viagra alternative
One way to find out Rooster. 😆
I actually would have a little faith in some of these homeopathy treatments.
Go with half a bag if you feel the need. Spread ahead of rain too. As long as there's not too much rain forecast. If grazing you'll do more harm in a few different ways going with 48 units/acre.
