A rear wheel drive vehicle will not have sports wheels on them
so no such vehicle is available

At this stage - I have moved on, I will stick with my original order. Unless they ring me to pay for the discounted one :) Which I doubt!
VINs are assigned somewhere between Shanghai and the Suez Canal. Previously it was stated that they were normally assigned as the ship travelled through the Suez Canal, though I got mine when the ship was off the coast of Sri Lanka. Some had gotten them earlier, others later. There is no clear pattern on exactly when they are assigned.
Vin was assigned ~ 27 March
This is all kinds of crazy - if the car is in Ireland, why can't they give you a collection date??
Unless they are on a ship named "Ireland" which may or may not be enroute from China or docked in Europe

Eddy nearly always guesses China , Afolabi Ireland and Houssam the UK.
Two thirds of the time the car is actually quite close. So positive news.
I had to 🐀 out the last advisor, but Eddy is adamant it's not in Ireland

Can’t find anything on any banks that says it can take up to 30 days, agree it’s madness. I ask for one refund 8 days ago for the original M3 I ordered and have not got it yet.
Nothing to do with the banks.
It’s their internal process that delays it. They are processed through their HQ in Netherlands.
Ingot my refund within 3 days so May just depends on your place in the “the list”.
Curious to know though that for the MY, What i read is the berlin plant assembling only MY's is for Europe market.
So why is Ireland getting supply from China for MY? surely it should be coming from Berlin now? is the UK market for MY's supplied from Berlin?
I don't think Berlin is setup to produce right hand drive cars, perhaps in the future they will as it makes sense given the geographic location.
Hi, I have just been onto Tesla (Irish Tel Number but UK Person) to cancel a red MYLR with ESD April 19th - May 4th. It is over the grant threshold and I placed it as a company order intending to purchase through my company. I have been informed that as it not a personal order there is no requirement to refund the 250 deposit. Did anyone have any success getting a refund for the deposit on a company ordered Tesla ?
So I think we are making one huge mistake: checking constantly and asking for updates - we should order the car and wait. Almost forget - like kickstarter products. Stop asking questions or plan around. I cannot, but seems this is the case here.
In terms of transfers - I work with payments - this is blx - fast sepa is same day or next - cut off 2 pm. 2-4 weeks is absolute nonsense . Mailed Steph and provided her the below link - being helpful here obvs!
Also - are we saying that even the firesale full priced cars we got 2 days ago after being Kelly'd/Cian'd wont make it anywhere close the dates?
Berlin gigafactory is in ramp up mode and has gradually been increasing production recently marking 5K units per week.. In contrast Shanghai produces approx 22K units per week.. At the moment I understand that Germany just produces Mod Y Long range LHD.. Over time I think we can expect more cars for European market to come from Germany but at the moment not enough capacity there to cater for European demand.
That's the way Tesla work - all the M3 currently in inventory are 222 cars & as far as I know the white MY LR car is. In fairness you were warned on here that it was a 222 car before you ordered
You can try your luck, but distance selling regulations apply to consumer orders only, not company. So, they aren't obliged to refund a company deposit.
I checked with them and it showed SEAI grant applied, I was trying if they will honour it. haha
For those that missed it with the quiet week that went on with Tesla, I posted this previously - two boats due into Dublin with Q2 Tesla orders.
So if you have a 2 week EDD in your account & VIN - likely you are on the first boat. EDD of generic April - June, you are likely to be on the second boat if you are getting a car
I believe Tesla is focusing on MY production more than M3 at the moment.
Even if they did, its not worth €42k as an ex-demo!

I'm fine & over my M3P fire sale car! We picked up a Y RWD back in the first round of deliveries & it has been flawless to date, except for some dodgy PPF application, which is being fixed shortly.
I ordered a LR M3 as well the day the price cuts came in as a second family car, and did a deal to sell my own car based on that for a very saucy sum, so happily followed through on that. Then got the LR moved out to Jul-Sept EDD & the panic set in. Grabbed a white RWD with alloys from inventory mid-March and took delivery of it a week later. A week after I took delivery of the RWD I got allocated a VIN for my LR order & then a day or two later grabbed a discounted M3P reservation, before the saga unfolded. When I put the deposit on the M3P, cancelled the LR order & got my deposit back in 2 days.
Had my RWD provisionally sold to take the M3P too!
So sounds like I am just your average Irish Tesla customer in the last few weeks 🤣
Very happy with the M3 RWD after all that, despite a shocking delivery day experience
Output in Berlin is still very low, and RHD cars are all produced in China, as far as I have understood it.
