Texoil dropped prices by 60euro for 1000 litres since friday. Was 640 now 580 in Galway It's going to be cheaper in 2-3 weeks as crude oil dropped 23% on todays markets
Check it for micro cracks. Small lines in the plastic where it's exposed to the sun.
I got a new pip boiler commissioned and the guy checked my tank as part of it. Had it changed within a few weeks.
Good advice
Bar of soap great for any cracks, to seal in the short term.
That's small, most Kero spills cost more than double that. My first tank lasted 18 years before becoming very bleached looking and cracking in the middle. I moved the replacement tank to a north facing part of the garden and it gets very little sun, maybe a small bit in June but that's it.
Not a nice scenario to face π£
It never leaked any fuel luckily, I spotted it before filling the tank.
If you don't mind me asking what was the cost in replacing the tank? Think the one I have is 20+ years old and probably best to change it. Think it's about 700litres.
I'd recommend a double skin tank . Dearer than a single skin but well worth it for safety. About a 1000e
Oh jaysus, now your asking... I think it was about 700 I got a new base put in it's an 1150 litres single skin tank sitting nicely in the shade. The old tank was getting baked.
Flip a coin
Heads fill now
Tails fill august.
I think the market is relatively stable at present. I can't see any dramatic drop, but likewise unless there's a change in the war, I can;t see any dramatic jump either. Remember about β¬320 of a 1000L fill is account for by carbon tax (incl May 1st extra 2c), levy & distribution margins. Currently about β¬160 is refinery margins inc vat and the balance is the oil (currently about β¬560 inc vat)
The Dandys will lend you a bowser to transport it
I went to put in 1000 ltr last week, was getting from Certa for 918 I think, had to use phone browser as I was out
Never checked and just remembered today and it never ordered.
476 for 500
or 939 for 1000
Bit annoyed about the 20 euro but what can you do
Did you use code WRK30 for the discount?
Yes both times
I just used code EASTER10 by chance on Top oil and it worked π
prices trending down to 95c/litre in Kerry ,with 2 cent ta to be added on may 1st ,is anybody tempted to fill tank for next winter!!
Put 600 ltrs in the tank with Certa in Kilkenny β¬577 with the discount code.
Nice to see it less then β¬1 a ltr at the moment.
The dandys in NI currently at 64.3ppl or 73.9cpl, cheapest I've seen it at the pump for a while.
Factor in getting to your house yourself
It will stay that way for a while I suspect.
All the refineries starting adding in the ability to refine diesel. Many mothballed refineries in the far east reopened and now there's a glut and refining margins for diesel/kero are $14 (remember they hit $80+ last summer)
Oil is trending down too and dollar is weakening.
Under β¬900 for 1,000L is a possibility next week, but 2c/L carbon tax comes in on May 1st for Kero
Mr.Oil is a bit screwy with prices at the moment.
442l is β¬450.
450l is β¬500.
500l is β¬483.
An extra β¬50 for 8l of oil...
I posted a while back that some suppliers systems are geared up for 300/500/1000L orders and when you stray away from that as in order 550L instead of 500L that the algorithm can increase the price per litre. Your example is mad though! Some difference.
β¬898 for 1,000 litres in Donegal today. Good to see another downward barrier broken.
Kenny Fuels in Wexford have 500l for β¬455 and 1000l for β¬899 at the moment. Going to pull the trigger at 500l now and see how it goes closer to winter to fill it.
Side note I had a bunded 1000l tank installed 3 years ago and it cost β¬1200 for supply and installation including VAT if that helps anyone. Had to go bunded because of the distance of the tank to the house, or so the plumber told me!
A good price on the 500L, if you are able to fill 1000L Certa is β¬895 with the WRK30 code, prices should be dropping a bit more though.
I wonder can I bring back the oil I got at 488β¬ so I can buy it again cheaper π«£
The increased carbon tax will add 2cpl to prices from next week (β¬20 extra for 1000L) but hopefully the overall price will continue with its current slightly downward trend.
Which day exactly does that come into place? Monday?
is there a cartel in Connaught again? π€ ~10c difference between Louth and Galway, or Mayo... if it wasn't for RightPrice in this region's market I reckon the prices would be even higher.
just for the crack, I've asked the CCPC to look into possible cartel pricing in the west.... not holding my breath though! π
