Just out of curiosity ( cuz I can't really justify the 5K more than my own order) what kind of condition was it in? Every test drive we've done in a demo car has been in sh1t state inside
I've visited the carpark of the Tesla showroom in Dublin in a weekend after-hours, wanted to check how the Model Ys look in different colors in person, was having second thoughts about my choice. There was a demo model Y there with all the windows wide open, it was raining, and nobody around. After seeing that, I would never trust buying one of these demo cars really..
It was actually grand although my shoes were muddy so i left some shoe prints in the front and back.
I've a MY RWD in red ordered since 18/3 but no Vin assigned. Tesla said it won't be on this latest delivery. I can change to a different colour and it may be on the ship. Has anyone done this? I'll go for blue if that's the case
Yup edited my order last night to MY rwd grey with white interior and got a VIN within minutes.
Is there anyway to track where the April delivery cars are? I ordered a RWD last night and was assigned a VIN. I remember for the last shipment in March people were able to track the boat and find out if their car was on the boat simply by searching for the VIN.
So there is hope. Mine is a few days later.
Received email confirming cancellation finally.
CPCC called me back a few days later out of the blue asking if I could send through all the details of the fire sale debacle including screenshots from website etc.
Said they’re planning to refer to the enforcement team. Won’t help at an individual level but would love to see them go after Tesla for it!

Definitely worth doing, while Tesla is entitled to cancel the orders they still have to be clear and upfront with customers, incompetence is not an excuse. Opaque sales and customer dealings need to be tackled if they want to operate as a professional business.

I have emailed the CCPC also so the more they hear from us the more they are to take action and Tesla won't feel they can get away with this so easy. I still think Tesla could offer some sort of compensation in the form of Supercharger miles or something like that at a minimum.
I got the same call and just forwarded all the details through. Would be great to see Tesla reprimanded over this and hopefully avoid it happening again in the future.

FYI, I managed to book the Tesla M3 RWD, but it's 2022 July made and a demo car. Not sure how they will give me SEAI grant on it. But they are confident they would be able to give me Grant on it. I will keep everyone updated with it.

They apologized at the end of the email... with a Z instead of apologise... might have been drafted in the US. Not that it matters now.
SEAI grant does apply to that car, getting it for 42k LOL!!. It has USS sensors as well. Can't wait to take delivery of it.

Did you have to do anything special to get the grant added or just happened automatically when you purchased it. Wonder is it the same for all the demo cars?
I had rep on the call with me when i was making the order to be sure about it. Then he said it should show the correct amount under Order Agreement which it did post filling all the information. Now sales rep would contact me. Delivery times are below:

I checked with them but they told me the same thing, I'm curious how the Car would be registered for 23 plates as this has been manufactured last year July 2022 which is a good thing considering it still has USS. Will keep everyone updated
I had a demo ordered a while ago. Nobody contacted me about it but in store they said they would only start getting it ready and have the mechanics check it over once full payment was made.
I was definitely lied to as they promised the 222d car i was sitting in yesterday was the "new one". Best of luck with it.
