I've a delivery date for 19/04 - 04/05 and that decoder just gives production date as 2023.

Also got my original firesale car just matched with a VIN there. MYLR white with 20inch wheels. Not sure the LR is worth the extra 10k. Might stick with the MY rwd grey for under 50k.

I have a M3 RWD White/Black with 19" wheels ordered and it's sitting at Apr-Jun. Does anyone know if I change the design to try get a date and vin and it isn't successful, does that mean I drop down the list for the one I have ordered?? Tesla seriously need to improve their order processing which would cost them nothing to have a proper inventory system 😡

No idea about your question, but do you want to share what other options you would be interested in? I just tried about 20 so can let you know if they were giving a VIN or not - maybe others could also chime in.

Thanks for coming back to me. I probably explained it poorly sorry. Essentially I don't want to drop off the list for the combination I have ordered although I would take another combination if I knew I would get it sooner. I'd be open to any M3 RWD combination other than Black. I change the car very often and normally the dealer can tell you that they have particular colour combos available or on the way in. Clearly not something Tesla considered strangely enough

So there will be a lot of spare white and black LRs with no extras in the Q2 batch
White and Black being free on the MY means there are likely more orders for them, meaning longer wait times.
Its a strange one, white and black are free colours but black was WAY down the list of deliveries for Q1 and obviously Tesla knew what they had manufactured when they dropped the price in Jan.
63 % of the Y's delivered in Q1 were white or grey. Only 13% were black. Tesla Y numbers for Q1 below...
The colour order for the Model 3 was the same.
Very hard to second guess anything Tesla do! 😉
Only way to safely do that while not affecting your original order is to put another deposit down and play with the configurations until you hit the jackpot... if you ever hit the jackpot 🤑

I've just "referred" my wife to place an order so at least if my sneaky discounted one gets canned, we'll avail of some referral points...
If I get 5000 points on my account and we purchase the car through her account, will I be able to utilise the points on my account for the supercharger miles?
I wonder if I "transfer" her car to my account as if I'm purchasing it from her, can I utilise them then?? I'm trying to create a silver lining to this whole situation...

So if the new ordered cars with vin are produced in Jan, they are probably moved stock from UK, right?

Oh sorry i was searching for MY combinations, not M3. Best bet as someone already mentioned would be to put a second 250e deposit and then run through the options. That's what I did and will be cancelling one once i decide which of the two I got VINs for to drop.
Has anyone tried to do a color swap white to black for vin assignment on a MYLR?
Can't do any other color as it goes over the grant.
I still have my Firesale MYLR showing but might play around with my safety order. Wary of that being bumped to the back of the line with chopping and changing though.

Can you let me know if a vin appears in the next few hours? Kind of set on a white but if black is an option I can just go with that all black everything look.
I tried many different combinations for MY. I found if I didn't get the VIN within 5 minutes, it wasn't coming. I couldn't get a MYLR VIN for any combination under the grant amount (got one for over). I was had a MYLR black on black since this morning and never got a VIN.
When did you place that order? I only placed mine in the last 40mins. No VIN yet...
It would seem to me that these are not just similar to the flash sale, they are the flash sale cars. It would be confirmed I think if the MY LR searchers put in Red with black interior and Inductions, no tow hitch and see if you get a VIN.
After patiently waiting since January i think it doesn't matter. It's a combination of whats on the boat/incoming stock and your config. If someone gets a car 4 months after my order cause they have a different color that means it's the config selection not when ordered. Looks like the one i selected which is black/black wouldn't happen for a good while. So why offer the configs in the first place

Everyone is worried about being pushed to the back of the "queue".If you have no Vin for next 2 ships ur already there .As og2k7 has said if I ordered today and have vin the queue means nothing .It's all about config and "what's on the ship" as Unkel has said many times .If ur conservative, place a second order and try every possible config then cancel existing order of u get Vin otherwise edit design of existing order
