He was an active member of the Communist party, what did people expect he was going to do but work for Russia.
He should have been taken out on day one, along with all the other comrades and, well, I suppose Interned, if not interred.
I hope I'm very wrong, but divisive characters (hello Trump!) get traction with certain people. A demonstration against them can be 'proof' they are anti establishment. Wallace is popular amongst a certain element. If they get exercised enough to vote he could do very well.
Daly gets an easy ride ? Hmmmn
Haven't had a chance to read it all yet. Defecting Putin Protection Office speaks out -:
Turns out he's not a Ukrainan soldier he's a civilian from donesk..
Finland is in. Kudos to Vladimir "I remain a master strategist" Putin.
In the last few years north Macedonia and Montenegro joined NATO. Now Finland and Sweden want in. Talks from Moldova, Kosovo and Bosnia too. Obviously Ukraine and Georgia want in. I even read that according to polls Ireland is 50/50 which surprised me.
I wonder why? 🤔
To say the Baltic States are happy Finland is now a NATO member is rather an understatement. Memories of Russia's miserable 1940 campaign there being invoked. This really is a strategic f**k up by Russia at this stage. The Baltic Sea is virtually a NATO lake now, and Sweden has still to join......
Finland is in. 8-)
Putin bringing freedom to the residents of Donesk.
Moldova will need to get rid of their own Russian problem and massively increase their defense capabilities first, and the same applies to Georgia, who despite having been attacked and had territory annexed by putin they are still in putins sphere of influence, despite wanting to join Nato back in 1996
We've predicted the fall of Putin a few times now on this long and winding thread but on this milestones day of NATO-expansion you have to think there are powerful Kremlin overlords seriously considering how to get out of this mess.
More US aid on the way.
Mostly munitions for various systems and and some vehicles and unmanned air defense systems
Ukrainian Drones.
Bringing 'Russian freedom' to them.
Look at what happened with the referendum to abolish the Seanad... the population rejected it, just to lash out at the govt. Talk about cutting off your nose, to spite your face...
It was more than that in fairness.
It was a gesture politics referendum, the benefits poorly explained,if any.
the orc lies and propaganda will continue to get even more desperate as their offensive collapses.
First bombings, now defections. The orc regime is rapidly starting to come apart at the seams and putler won't survive it.
It's been insane how consistently slow the city of Bakhmut is falling to the Russians. If Ukraine we're just throwing bodies at this there would be a lot more ground regained from time to time. Instead it seems like an insanely good controlled retreat.
Having said that the Ukrainians won't retreat if the Russian attack runs out of steam. Hard to know which way it'll go but at what point would Ukraine feel they lost enough of the city to force a retreat?
Ukrainians using a mine clearing charge as an offensive weapon.
“Reports are just coming in now… I can confirm the Kremlin is on fire, Putin’s head can be seen illuminated by flames on a spike, Solovyov has been electrocuted from his copious tears shorting his microphone… and Russian media are claiming to be making advances in Bakhmut!”
The Russians have changed tactics recently instead of moving at one point they moved to the flanks of bakhmut and are making slow gains,I think they gave up the human wave attacks and now are being a little more sensible, which seem to be paying off there and Avdiivka near donesk,if the Russians have stopped throwing thousands of bodies and are using artillery, rockets, and slowly using infantry to capture streets and buildings ,
It might make sense to start pulling back and containing the Russians, while they prepare for the coming counter offensive, Ukrainians are dieing and getting injured,at some point someone will have to weight it up , keeping killing hundreds of Russian but losing hundreds of Ukrainans per week,or fall back to a defensive position where the Russian won't push towards, and they push them back enmass during the counter offensive.
I was going to write about , how patient the Ukrainians are being, and give examples of how patient they have being about getting trained properly on proper modern equipment and tactics and intel. However I can sum it up in one line about the counter offensive !!!
the Russians are currently very much the frogs in the tepid water(takes a lot lees energy to boil tepid water ) , that’s going to get boiled all of a sudden by , propane , induction heaters , the air fryer , microwave ,,, and some other form of super quick nato cooking we haven’t heard of before and all wrapped up in nato intelligence insulation to prevent heat loss and frog escape .
Just like Ukraine and Russia are friends - common sense and a map is required. Strange that none of the European countries bordering Russia (except Belarus?) listened to this "expert".
Seeing reports the SU-35s are causing massive problems for Ukraine at the moment?
Could they cause issues for the counter offensive?
Is this why Ukraine we’re begging for F16s?
This man is an expert in geo politics and military strategy as a Donkey is to formula 1 car.
Lol, this has echoes of the AFU claiming they still controlled Soledar a week after it was confirmed fallen to the Russians.
Geolocated footage puts wagner in control of almost all of central bakhmut now, in addition to south, north and eastern sides they control. The city is contested by AFU maybe, but they are not in control.
What does it matter, the war is lost, Russia winning an odd battle with massive loss of life is only making their failure statistically and morally more emphatic
Related in an obtuse way...
Two Russian ships, with DSRV capabilities have been snooping around the Data Cables off the Dingle peninsula over the last week or so within our Economic Zone. Did our Navy launch any of our 4 newest ships, worth over €280 Million, to investigate? No.
Why? Because of lack of able seamen, medics, engine room guys and techies.
We live on one of the most strategic islands in Europe and our entire navy is tied up due to staffing.
Little wonder NATO is outside our door, asking politely to come in.
I grew up in an army household and the old man is constantly pushing the NATO membership narrative.
With the rapidly changing world order, and the regular recent attention from Russian ships. is now the time?
I believe so.
