Its the one area we've shown consistency in - no goals.
It needs an experienced head, someone with a bit of backbone is needed, someone that will actually take charge of things and not let Boehly walk all over them.
I have no sympathy for Potter, he was on obscene money and knew the conditions in which he was going to be working under, but no one with a spine would of agreed to work under the conditions he worked under, they were bombarding him with players left right and center, there was no logic to any of it and it was crazy to see and totally unmanageable, for any manager, the cynic in me thinks Potter just saw dollar signs when Chelsea came calling and jumped on it, don't blame him either considering what he was on, but he never stood a chance and I think he knew it, he's not dumb.
Except they got rid of TT because he's that same person and not a yes man, let's hope they learnt their lesson
I'd bring in Poch - Used to big clubs and strong character.
Poch for me as well out of all the names mentioned.
But first things first, let's get behind Bruno and if he can get the team scoring and stop conceding silly goals, I'd give him the job.
Same again, chance, chance, chance, disallowed goal, chance, chance, repeat ad nauseam! 😔
Here's a wild idea, let's not play the non natural striker as a striker.
Lampard, one of the most unsuccessful, clueless managers of recent times looks set to be appointed as our new manager. What the hell is anyone thinking??? Shocking decision if it happens
....
How wrong I was!
The first rule of life things can always get worse.
In fairness to Frank, it's a free hit. He's goes all out for Champions League now as the league is a write off in regards any sort of finishing position.
He wins, he's further established as one of the clubs greatest legends, he loses then he's only an interm and he couldn't rescue an already failing team.
Maybe he sees it as a chance to right the wrong of him being sacked from the Chelsea side who weren't ready to win a champions league with him, who then went in to win the champions league a couple of months later.
At this stage one can only grab the popcorn and buckle up
I can see it now, results will improve and he'll be given the job full time...we're a joke.
Exactly. If it was a situation where a permanent person was announced with Lamps holding the fort till then, it would be almost ok
I want Nuno Espírito Santo former Wolves and brief stint at spurs manager.
We've a young attacking team and he had Wolves playing some lovely football.
But mainly, there's sh@g all else out there other than Nagelsmann or Pottsinchinos. 😁 we'll end up with Brendan Rodgers!
If the Frank appointment was a few days earlier, I'd have laughed it off as an April Fools day joke.
Chilwell the only one recently looking like a creative force and he drops him.
Bizarre
Whatever Chelsea's problems are, and there are many, Sterling is not the answer to any of them.
An utterly utterly embarissing performance by him. No pace, no finishing and no ability to get by a player with the belief the opposition will get out of his way if he runs right at them. It's painfully obvious why he was cut loose from City!
As for the rest, there was a lack of urgency once passed the halfway line (while we had 11). No belief they could create anything and then over doing things when the simpler pass was on.
Madrid didn't score from complex playing routines, it was simple stuff and yet again we had chances and didn't finish. Good thing we only have one striker who is not even registered for this bloody competition!
Curcuella should not be seen in a Chelsea shirt for the rest of the season. Unless Dave is absolutely knackered I'd play him against Real ahead of Curcuella.
I can't help but think Frank got the subs wrong. Trev should have been on for KK. Curcuella was a disaster waiting to happen. No idea why Silva was taken off, fair enough if he was injured, but he was playing well.
Mudryk has to start ahead of Sterling.
Ref didn't exactly help either.
What did Ref do wrong tonight?
I would tend to believe we were let off, Mount could have seen red too
I'm just unhappy, leave me alone ffs. Grumble grumble grumble.
I'd say the Brighton defence are sh1tting themselves!
Time For Pints mixed with my salty tears 😪
We managed to score!!!
But f**k it, we won't let that stop us making a balls of things!
Sky just called it a shock result at start of the City Leicester game, eh, have they looked at the table or a Chelsea game recently!
Appears to be something rotten within the squad. I have never seen such a poor display. The were absolutely dreadful today. No spirit, no fight. Like someone mentioned elsewhere they can’t string 3 passes together and they have no idea what to do when they get the ball.
poor Frank will take the brunt of it - he appears not to have a clue what he is doing even though he’s only had a few days with the squad it has disimproved and he should be moved on.
There's no impetus We were 2-1 down with a few minutes to play and the ball was back to Kepa and being played around like the game was only 30 seconds in.
And then repeatedly Kepa was given the ball and had no choice but to limp it forward to a non existent front man.
And even Felix who has been the 1 bright spark was directly responsible for the goal. He lost the ball while being too casual in possession and stood there. James immediately won it back and the ball was soose but Felix was so lax that he wasn't able to respond and the Brighton player nipped in ahead of him and this resulted in the goal.
They all just look like they've only met each other for the first time 30 minutes before the game and have no idea what anyone else will do.
And I'm guessing they will completely lose interest as a squad when Real dump us out of Europe. Grim.
Sometimes football provides a fairytale result but most often you get exactly what you expect 😔
Sam Allardyce has been spotted at the Bridge today apparently 🤣
I'd take him over lampard tbh
